Vq has not shot us down for Dickerson. They just said we would be fine with the guys we have but if he locks in a visit for us the last weekend then the chances are high we get him.

Like Matthews said chances are we will lose some commitments as well or cut some so if a big prospect wants to come on board we will make room.

Thanks. This recap is a lot different than "we won't get him." But it feels like he's had us leader multiple times only to be dethroned

Then I wonder why when they broke down where the last few spots would be used they did not include (1 OL).

Do you seriously think they know more than the coaches? C'mon man! VQ is just being conservative, as they usually are, and is really the only reasonable stance to take when covering recruiting.

Right now it looks like a race between UT and FSU for Dickerson, and we probably have the better shot to get him over the Noles.

A couple of weeks ago they thought we would be in good shape no matter what with Dickerson. They were saying we had the momentum, Now they think the visit will be a big in his decision. Fsu is a real threat but we have a great shot at him.

Know more than the coaches? Really? Are you a UT coach? I do think VQ knows more about the situation than fans on this board. If Dickerson was still in play, I think their update would have included him. Most recruits won't eliminate their list to one till they commit. From what I've read, I think we are a hat on the table for Dickerson and nothing more.

I thought for a long time we've had a good shot with Dickerson ever since the coach left VT. I think he'll be a vol

Really? When did I imply that I was a UT coach? I was talking about the VQ staff not knowing more than the actual staff. The guys on VQ only get a short version of the truth, and don't actually know what is going on in both the coaches' or recruits' heads.

And us fans really don't know much of anything. It's called silly season for a reason. Stuff can change daily, even hourly in some cases.

Until Dickerson flat out eliminates us, I still think we got a pretty good shot. Especially if he takes that UT visit the last weekend of recruiting season.

Dickerson just recently was asked what recruit he would start a team with and his answer was Guarantano. You are placing WAY too much emphasis on one quote from VQ. They also just mentioned that we are in decent shape with Velus Jones and admitted they had no idea we had a chance with him.

Ummm, what? That is not being reported. Did I miss something new? They just interviewed a fellow Georgia HS player at the Army AA game and asked that recruit about Brown and he said he did not know where he was going but that he knew he was not going to UGA.

Is decent shape being 3rd on a list of 3? I suppose being on the list at all would be considered decent shape. Or it could just mean like in Hills commitment at the AAA game, 3 hats on the table looks better than 2.
