There's no way we are "kind of." Why would he schedule us the very last week if we were "kind of?" He's are top target on the board with Dickerson left

I took it to mean kinda South Carolina as his possible 5th team. I don't think the 'kinda' word extended to Tennessee. We have been in his top 2 or 3 the entire time. Doubt we are on the outside looking in.

If we miss out on Warrior, then I might actually start to be concerned. Never thought we would get Mecole although I had hopes we might get lucky. But if Callaway and Mecole go elsewhere, and Nigel follows....I'm not so sure what other commits we could land other than possibly Brown and Dickerson.

Concerned about what? We just came off a 9-win season, have tons of returning talent and will be the favorite to with the east and a candidate for the playoff. Recruiting does not always correlate with wins, see Butch's stellar recruiting thus far.

When a guy picks Will Muschamp over Butch Jones, that's proof that you can only do so much to convince an 18-year old to come to your school.

You might want to start being concerned then. I have felt that we will miss on Hardman, Brown and Warrior for awhile. I really hope I am just being a Debbie downer about those guys but thats what I think. I have a feeling this class may be a little underwhelming. But that doesnt mean Butch cannot get quality guys though.

Lol calm down. I'm not trying to be a nega-vol or anything. I'm not concerned about next season, I would just be concerned about this single, particular recruiting class. I have already accepted this won't be as highly rated as year's past and that is obviously fine, but the way college football has evolved over the past decade, if you aren't bringing in top talent every single year it's hard to compete for championships.

And before someone takes that last sentence and makes some sarcastic remark about "oh, so now our last two classes aren't top talent," I am ONLY referring to this one class.

It's still a good class right now, it just has room to be improved. Kongbo is going to be a fight to hold on to and most of our top choices are up in the air right now as well. I'm not trying to be negative, I'm just not trying to pump-sunshine right now either:)

Go Vols:rock:

After our 16 season, 17 class, and Trevor Lawrence signs on as the 18 QB, hopefully most of you guys concerns will be put to rest.

We have great potential for next season, but let's not declare our "16 season" anything special yet. One step at a time. First, lets close out with a good class. Second, let's have a good, injury-free offseason, then let's beat VA Tech.

Baby steps people. Cautious optimism.:):)
