That's the fourth black QB I've seen listed on here that is "similar to Dobbs" without actually being similar to Dobbs.

Marquise Williams of UNC is similar to Dobbs, regardless of race. Strong, elusive runner. Strong arm, a little more accurate. Dobbs is a lite more elusive. Similar players though

One is short, one tall.
One throws a beautiful deep ball and nothing else.
One throws short and intermediate well with limited deep ball.
One runs spread and other pro-style.
One is smart and other not so much.

Harris isn't short. The biggest difference is him being in a pro style offense. He could easily be in our system. Also, nice cheap shot.

Well, Dobbs is 10x better as a runner but the passing traits are probably pretty comparable

That's what I'm getting at. Harris does indeed have a much better deep ball than Dobbs while Dobbs is a better runner. They're comparable though.

Dobbs does not have a strong arm. Williams has a better arm than Dobbs all around.

Dobbs does have a decently strong arm. He just isn't accurate downfield and never shows it. Williams' arm isn't that much better. They're similar players

I just disagree then.

Harris is not even close to being similar to Dobbs. The deep ball is his best throw and Dobbs can't complete one to save his life. Harris is no where near as talented a runner as Dobbs.

I agree. I don't see the resemblance Catbone sees. The inaccuracy issues I can see but like Jave said, Harris has looked solid tonight. To each their own

Yeah definitely see where you're coming from. What I think is, statistically in passing they're very comparable. But one has better deep balls, and one has better short throws. They are both mobile (yes dobbs is more elusive). If Harris was in our offense (letting him run) I believe they'd be similar.

Ya, I think Harris is actually more accurate deep than he is short. He's quicker than Dobbs but slower top end. Very different all around.

And thirdly, where did this lsu air raid offense come from? Deep bomb after bomb, from a QB that sucked so bad all year.

Harris actually played really well early in the season. Didn't throw a pick through like 5-6 games. Torched UF more than a couple times before Heargraves was hurt. He throws a pretty nice deep ball.

Harris can't take a game over as the focus of the offense. Dobbs can and does whenever the coaches take the reigns off the offense. One is an elite playmaker at the QB position(not an elite passer) in college. Harris is a hot/cold player that's dependent on the running game.

I wasn't comparing him to Dobbs. Just pointing out that Harris didn't "suck so bad all year." I think hot/cold like you said is a better way of putting it.

But it does help to have the WRs LSU has. They saved him on a couple passes today. It would be nice if we could depend on our WR corps enough to allow Dobbs to just throw it up for grabs like Harris did at times.
