An investigation will prove nothing. The NFL can't compel testimony, force the release of medical records or compel Ashley Manning to do or say anything. The harm is to Peyton Manning's reputation and legacy, and that damage has already been done. Look at this board. Some posters believe he's guilty, and his integrity is being questioned-- with NO evidence that he did anything even remotely wrong. Doubt will remain, because all parties will retain counsel and the investigation will go nowhere.

As a matter of fact the reporter in the documentary wondered aloud if Peyton Manning could be "linked" to HGH, thus the damage done and firestorm started. The reporter used his name, link, and HGH all in the same sentence.

What're you confused about?

The story has fact issues before it even comes out. It also has issues with sources and their vetting. As that is the case, the story cannot be viewed as legitimate, therefore, I will not view it or support it.

Ancient Aliens is a show on history channel about alien intervention into human society. Those people are nuts on some of the things they believe.

I've read a number of articles regarding this situation, and have come to a conclusion. While I doubt the facts (source) and Al J, If PM does not file a law suit, and "get it on" with these guys, I'll conclude there is/was something to it. The fact that the article never actually said, PM was getting the HGH (his wife was named as the HGH receiver), the implication that he was the one actually using the drug is clear. Damage to his reputation should is clear, therefore he should Go To Court, if he does not, many will ask "Why not?".

Suing another party comes with a hefty price, and not just talking finances. It drains time out of your life, and taints your existence in a harshly negative way for as long as the suit runs. In a word, it sucks. Even if you "win."

I wouldn't blame anyone for avoiding suits and/or litigation any time they can, and certainly wouldn't jump to any false conclusions about what they may or may not have done as a result of said decisions. To do that would be stupid.

very little to gain on a defamation lawsuit. big world of grey, and it's all subjective, in a world that supposedly requires objectivity.

plus i doubt Manning would get what he wanted, in truth, out of such a law suit.
