The loss to LSU was due to a 1st half of getting hammered 47-20 which made Donnie livid at halftime. When the team returned to the floor, they outscored them 35-26.
As far as South Carolina, they had just come off a 67-50 win at Georgia in their second win over the Dawgs for the year. If they could play us every game for the rest of this season, they would end the 2015-16 campaign undefeated.
Then why do you think Martin left for Cal?
SD doesn't have a damn clue what happened at halftime.
I signed it and thought it was a joke.... I honestly have a hard time picturing high major basketball players not being able to handle it.... They need to work on that mental toughness.
Dear gracious it was 47-20 at half. It doesn't take a very intelligent basketball to know what kind of mood the head coach was in a halftime
I mean where do people stop and think about common sense before trying to discredit a poster that doesn't need much help with that?
When I say it was a joke, this is what I mean. Peop!e could sign it multiple times. It had CCM signature on it multiple times. It had celebrities names and names of dead people. It was unverified and it was a joke.

Dominic Woodson, McGhee, Carmichael, and Owens all either quit or were asked (or told) to leave. I think that Woodson was asked to leave.

Quitting implies to me giving up basketball. Transferring is the opposite. They want to play more and be more a part of a teams success. Speaking more so about JM here. Just sayin.
I agree. He needs to be tough to get the very best out of them. He's been doing this a long time.
Barnes is ready to retire! I won't be surprised if he retired in the next 3 years. He doesn't even seem enthusiastic during the games! Next year he may be a little more firmer and enthused because majority of the players will be his recruited players.
Isn't that just his disposition? I don't recall him being at all demonstrative when he brought Texas to the TBA and was Loftened. But I haven't paid much attention to him before this year.
I'd be surprised to see him change his teaching style because of the origin of the players on his roster.

I think he's under pressure to turn this program around, put UT back on the basketball map and live up to his reputation all at once. As has been said on VN in the past, that's going to take a lot of work. Don't think it will happen this year and probably not next year. But by his 3rd year, given his reputation, UT should be dancing at the ball. The question is do you want to just go to the ball or be the best dancer at the ball? Making the tournament isnt enough, its what you do in the tournament once you get there.
