Haha.

Well since we're hurting for topics, here is a new one. Anyone ever had an Inguinal hernia? I'm afraid i might have one. But not sure if it's that or post-vasectomy issues (11 days post-vas now) . But it wasn't hurting like this til yesterday afternoon, after I had been outside lifting and maneuvering a heavy ladder to take down Christmas lights.

Not sure if I should sit around and see if it gets better or go to the doctor.

Had one almost exactly 8 years ago. It's really hard to describe the pain from it. It wasn't generally painful, but more of an ache that hurt when I tightened my belt or laid down at night. Mine wasn't strangulated though, and I've heard that can be painful. I waited a few weeks before I went to the doctor, and ended up having surgery a couple months later.

I will say that the left side is less common than the right side. Typically the right side goes first, and many who have one on the right end up with one on the left at a later date.

Edit: I actually recall having a similar feeling pain after the vasectomy too, but it eventually went away after a few days.

Thanks, Brillo.

If it was gonna be an issue, I wish I could get it taken care of in the next three days because we hit our out-of-pocket max this year. Ha. Oh well.

Not sure what is going on with it. Probably just need to go to the doctor and confirm if it's a hernia or not. And then go from there

Just to update everyone on something non-important (as compared to matters of life and death), I switched to DirecTV. It was installed on Saturday and so far I'm really loving it.

The installation exceeded my expectations. Sto, I didn't have a chance to get by Lowe's, so I had prepared myself for the likelihood that I'd have to have him mount it to our deck. I was pleasantly surprised when he arrived that he had everything necessary to do the pole installation. Also, in our family room, there is a little closet with all the AV equipment and all the wires are run underneath the floor to where the TV is located. Unfortunately, there wasn't a wire that had been run that matched the inputs on the DirecTV receiver. Our installer called his supervisor, told him the specific connector/converter that he needed, and the supervisor drove about 70 miles (round trip) to get the connector at a Best Buy and bring it to our house. Obviously, I was very impressed.

As for the service, we really like it so far. I like the whole-home DVR, and that I can set parental controls and set a custom guide for each machine, or all machines. Between DirecTV and internet, we'll be paying a little less than $110 per month whereas we were paying Charter over $180 per month.

Again, I appreciate everyone's advice/comments/recommendations!

excellent getting the pole mount man, it will be alot more reliable in the rain, please dont hit it with your zero turn

I think the RF should implement the black stripe system. All new posters must have their stripe removed by an elder poster before their opinion matters.

I've been here six years and don't post all that often considering. If we did that I'd be the Blair of the RF, full on black helmet and all.

Wow... What about Kongbo?

Came on here to find out about a recruit and somehow found myself in the middle of the Marcia Brady vs. Jan Brady thread.

It's really tricky to navigate the RF forum this time of year. I wish there was a magic bullet or something to assist you.

Best advice I can give you is to never enter a thread that seems obvious. For example, if you're interested in Kongbo, don't bother with his thread. Unfortunately I can't tell you where to find any information on him, but I can assure you it won't be anywhere near his thread.

But if you are interested in off-topic conversations, for example, you can pretty much venture anywhere. The only caveat is you will have no idea where specific off-topic topics can be found.

New as in time with us not number of posts. Anyone under one year should have a mandatory probation period until they prove themselves worthy.

When I'm only interested in information, I put on my "scan for updates goggles" and scroll through everything until I see quotes. That's the only method I've found that remotely works.

I said something similar a couple of months ago.

Seems like 90% of the people that joined with a 2015 join date are either trolls or just stupid.

It has been a really bad year for VN recruiting.

dont know about the personal attacks but for sure RF is awful quiet, last coupla years every self-professed recruiting guru was working OT for e-cred.

Too many of the good posters who made this forum so great for information sharing and discussions don't post here anymore. And the ones who are still here don't post very much.

I'll keep that in mind! And, yeah, we had some pretty strong rain and wind yesterday with no issues. :eek:k:

Everyone rails on D4H's posts, but look at his post to like ratio, lol. He's nearly 1.5 likes per post, 9+ likes per day :eek:lol:
