No he's speaking of bankruptcy in general. The entire article is about how Trump has said during debates that bankruptcy is a tool that all CEO's use so its not a big deal. When in fact that's not true.

No it's not. Here's the full detail... he is speaking about one specific bankruptcy.

In 2004, Trump faced his third corporate bankruptcy, when his Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts — which controlled the Trump Taj Mahal, Trump Plaza and Trump Marina (formerly Trump’s Castle) casinos in Atlantic City, as well as a riverboat casino in Indiana — was buried underneath $1.8 billion in debt.

To help secure lower interest rates and a $500 million credit line, Trump agreed to shrink his stake in the company from 47 percent to about 27 percent.

Trump brushed off the bankruptcy as “really just a technical thing” that touched only a small fraction of his net worth, telling the Associated Press then, “I don’t think it’s a failure, it’s a success.”

“four times I’ve taken advantage of the laws. And, frankly, so has everybody else in my position.”

"But Trump was exaggerating, experts said, when he said that virtually every business leader has filed bankruptcy. An estimated 5 percent of the 500 biggest U.S. companies have filed for bankruptcy in the past two decades, Georgetown law professor Adam Levitin said."

Hillary Clinton is narcissistic, ham legged, and filthy rich. It loves political brawls, and promises free things for anyone that will vote for her. Trump possesses charisma, and has great popular appeal. Hillary's ego is uuuuuuge.

The one politician in American history that matches Hillary with those attributes is Josef Stalin.
Kinda fits her, doncha think?

Amash does not like Rubio

IDK where to put this. Maybe it deserves its own thread?

The fact that PPP ran with this question just shows how biased they are. They sold their soul for a few clicks and retweets. Honestly, people probably hung up on them when they asked that question and will hang up in the future when PPP calls. I would. The sad part is their Twitter feed mocked people after tweeting that.

I'll google Justin Amash because I have never heard of him.

I'm pretty sure he's one of the good guys. The party establishment tried everything they could to get him out in the primaries so he must be doing something right. I recommend the Reason interview by Nick Gillespie.

He also posts explanations on his Facebook page giving the reasoning behind some of his votes.

Sad statement. He's likely the most fiscally responsible member of congress.

"Democrats insist his fiscal policy makes Paul Ryan look like a New Dealer" - Tim Murphy of Mother Jones

Like what? From what I've seen he's a pretty strict constitutionalist who isn't afraid to ruffle establishment feathers.

On several issues Amash is a wet dream for most VN posters, and then he applies his same reasoning (liberty, constitution, responsibility) to other issues and they don't like him for it.

Right he voted present, which is funny since he is dogging Rubio for doing the same.

No, he's dogging Rubio for not showing up to his job. If Sanders, Paul, and Cruz can show up to Congress and run campaigns at the same time, why can't he? Rubio's lack of a ground game in IA and NH is also well-documented.

Amash, on the other hand, has the best attendance record in the House.

A person votes present so his vote won't be used against him instead of taking a stand and voting yes or no.

Perhaps, but I think it's more symbolic in this case. He agrees with the idea but disagrees with the implementation. Straddling the fence to be sure - probably easier to just vote no, but harder to explain away.

Cruz can't dog Rubio for missing the vote because he has done the same thing. Cruz was the only Senator to miss the vote to confirm Loretta Lynch as attorney general. He said even if he had voted his no vote wouldn't have made any difference.
