You liked his defense? It seemed like the Vols were constantly getting abused by open 3 pointers with no adjustments from the coaching staff.
My policy, at any age I've been:
I don't get screamed at. You scream at me, I scream back louder. Under no circumstances will you use a position of authority to demean me. And if I'm six six and 240, you might wake up with an IV and ice packs. I respect you and listen to you, you gonna respect me. Any of this not clear?
I've seen the same interview of KP and Armani talking about their role, the coach, and their teammates three times (3rd time on the hour special last night w/Kesling). They seemed very loose and they described CRB the same way...loose and funny. If Barnes is a big hardass then they are expert liars.
Also, make up your mind. You've already posted that you think we're in good hands with Barnes and that you trust him, now you're saying it's going to hurt us bad.
I really don't want to say it, because I don't want to believe it, but I think Tennessee is ricks retirement home. In a bad way. He came here just to end his career on his terms imo. I hope I'm wrong, but i haven't seen enough fire from him, to believe he really wants to win here. Maybe it's just where it's not conference time. Maybe once conference play starts he'll be more active. But so far,
The only thing he's gave me to be excited about are Parker and Williams. I highly doubt we get Bruno, and I highly doubt we get any top 20 player. I hope and pray I'm wrong, but that's how I see it. Next year could be a good year like I said, so next year is when I will have my final verdict.
I assistant coached the 7th grade team at a local middle school in college for 2 years and I never yelled. We were pretty close to .500 both years and filled with nerdy white boys. Although there is a huge difference between middle school and college, I think players respond better to coaches who lead by example and use positive reinforcement rather than anger. Nothing worse than an overly aggressive and foul-mouthed head coach. See: Kevin O'Neill. He was the worst.
Me. I never yell at any player. I raise my voice if I have to call over the noise of practice, but why would I yell at someone who does something for fun? These middle schoolers aren't getting paid to listen to that crap.
Was Coach Summit too hard on her players?
