Manning linked to HGH by Documentary (key witness has recanted)

Peyton Manning is a public figure, so actual malice applies. But the media ran defamatory stories with reckless disregard for whether the published information was false or true. In fact, the information was published after Manning had issued a statement publicly disputing the claims, and the media had no evidence or credible source to the contrary. There are multiple grounds for legal action by either Peyton or Ashley Manning.

Well said and I hope he seeks every legal remedy/legal action available to him to ruin those involved with a lie that was clearly made up to ruin him.

I think the lie was made up to make the intern look important. He never went on record, his accusation was secretly recorded. More reason this should never have been published.

This was a hit piece by a left wing rag, who also happens to be a UK grad...the story fell apart before it was even published...I don't listen to Rush much but he was spot on when he called the modern day reporters "the drive by media" they love to stir up controversy whether their report is factual or not

Per Ian Rapoport: Fleischer (Peyton's spokesman) told me they'll watch the report before deciding to sue.

Read the next sentence of the post you quoted....yes, he gained an advantage by locking a teammate out. Yes, we laughed about it.

Well he did re-write the record book in '13. Not linking this to any wrong-doing but Manning's numbers from '12-14 were 3 of his better years. :)

Yeah, Brandon Stewart could have become the next Peyton Manning if only he had gotten in that film room. I say ban Peyton from the NFL and the HOF. hahaha

The political orientation of Al Jazeera is irrelevant since this is a freaking sports story, not a story about politics. This is a serious news outlet with rigorous journalistic standards and integrity making some pretty serious allegations. I just hope that the facts will come out.

Pretty sure the facts have already come out. The story is bs.

I'm going to withhold judgement until I watch Al Jazeera's documentary. Any legal action taken by Manning should also help reveal the truth.

There is no story..the accuser said he lied...there is nothing left to report

What if he is just trying to cover his own ass from legal ramifications at this point? They got him on concealed cam saying that he supplied HGH to Manning. On the other side, he could have very easily been lying during that particular conversation.

Yeah --- it is.

He wasn't even working there in 2011...Dude give it up its lies

"There's no truth to it," Fleischer said. "What they have is a well-known con man from England who secretly recorded a former intern."

Sly was an unpaid intern at The Guyer Institute from February 2013-May 2013, according to Fleischer. This disputes information in the documentary, which says Sly worked at the institute in 2011. Sly confirmed Fleischer's account, telling ESPN on Saturday that he worked at the institute in 2013, not in 2011 as the Al Jazeera report alleges.

He outright called it ludacris. I don't believe it. The reporter said he made it up.

Even IF he had, doesn't that put him in the same boat as another great qb known for cheating? CoughBradycough

Allenbwest.com? Really? That is where you get your news? That poll, while not relevant to this story, is an unscientific internet poll of Al Jazeera's Arab audience. ISIS could have very easily run a script that drove up their numbers for propaganda purposes. Its not remotely relevant to this story.
