The GANG OF EIGHT boy will not get the nomination. It ain't going to happen.

Well Trump and Cruz won't get enough votes in the swing states needed to beat the Democrats...did you bother reading the article? It's showing you the demographic of people that are in the middle... Clinton wins and they take majority over everything with a Trump ticket

“Democrats, independents and mainstream Republicans would abandon the top of the ticket and perhaps sweep out Republicans down ticket as well.”

Strategist have said this alot about a Trump ticket.

Seventy percent of the strategists surveyed believed Rubio would be the most formidable opponent among the five GOP contenders. A Nevada Democrat said of Rubio: “He does a superb job of using his story in his campaign; of all Republicans, he has the best chance of reaching Hispanic voters; his youth and charisma are contrast to Clinton.”

It's obvious that the hardliners on both sides will vote with there party lines. The last election wasn't even close with electoral votes. Obviously the Republican candidate needs to be able to capture moderate voters and a part of minority votes. Take your pick Cruz or Rubio

I've read comments from people who think Trump can win New York. New York. The state that Obama won 63% to 35% in 2012 and that Hillary represented for 8 years.

The level of delusion is off the charts.

There is no way to know how many disillusioned people are out there who no longer vote, that would come off the bench and vote for Trump. It might surprise you.

Rubio will most definitely not be the nominee, unless he wins either Iowa or New Hampshire, and that is highly Unlikely.

You are putting a lot of love into an infantile Left wing publication.

Even the democrats know that Hillary's political language is designed to make Lies and Murder sound truthful and respectable. She is Pure Wind.

Hillary fears Trump most of all. Trump will take many Democrat votes, and they know it. Trump may even surpass Ronald Reagan in his ability to attract the votes of working class voters across the political spectrum.

That, comrades, is a not even close win for Trump.

Yes, a good goal when entering a war would be to have a means of victory. Our current wars have no means of victory and in my opinion are just delaying the inevitable.

I agree with you. I have never been in favor of being occupiers. I think we should bomb and use ground force if necessary but leave after the job is done.

Yes, we do have a lot of waste. What could we do to fix this? Set term limits on Congress to prevent corruption?

Term limits is a great place to start. I would extend it to include the high Court also.

Source?

Is it a coincidence that Trump continuously polls behind Democratic candidates while other GOP candidates tie or win, or just evidence of a conspiracy?

That's easy. Go to war and kill the enemy. Make the conquered country or countries pay for the costs of the war. Right now any war we enter would not take long if we enter it with the goal of winning. Screw this post war nation building crap that we do now.

But to provoke more thought, we have so much waste that if most of it was eliminated our surplus would grow so much that we as a country could wipe with hundred$.

The U.S. has never and will never "Conquer"a country.

Rubio needs to win New Hampshire, Nevada, Colorado and Florida. That is his road to the nomination. The last 5 people to win Iowa lost the nomination.

Oh my. Some one is setting themselves up for a massive disappointment.

You do realize that what you hope happens and what will realistically happen are at odds here, right? Have you seen the polls?

It's a good thing that I'm getting old and don't have to witness too many more elections like this.

Why can't I choose between Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos? Give me a brilliant man and a visionary, but no, I have to decide between two idiots.

You severely underestimate the power of the independent vote as well as the dems willing to cross over, I can't wait myself.

Yep. If he were eligible and ran, I'd vote for Musk. I'll chance the genius innovator.

Why would someone like Musk or Bezos want the job? Pay cut and the press up your ass 24/7, no thanks.

I didn't say they would and Musk wouldn't qualify anyway. They are the type of people that we need to run to restore some kind of integrity to the office.

Our political system has become a joke to the rest of the world.

Trump appeals across party lines but being a polarizing figure works both ways. People will turn out just to keep him out of office. And there are plenty of moderate Republicans and actual conservatives who won't vote for him.

Plenty of people who fear being seen as racist when being polled will not be afraid with the curtains close and they are alone in that booth.

We'll see about that, if the border isn't secured from these undocumented Democrats then they'll never be a GOP president again, Trumps willing and able to do the job, a lot will depend on terrorism here in the usa between now and Election Day. The GOP will not nominate an establishment candidate this time around! Trump or Cruz are going to get the nod which is fine by me.

I'm wondering why you believe that Trump would carry independents or any Dems at all?

Seriously, saying it... Even with fervency doesn't make it so.

I find all this amusing since Trump isn't even a Republican. He's suckered the GOP into believing he's one of them, LOL.

LOL, sucker. You really think Trump gives a rip about any of this sh*t? He's a shameless self promoter who will do and say whatever it takes to get elected - just like Obama did.

Trump supporters are mad at the status quo, they don't understand politics are largely uneducated - but mad. Trump is playing off that anger at Washington. Has he even disclosed how he plans on cutting the deficit? Foreign policy? Has he said how he is going to accomplish anything? Nah, he just talks tough and belittles his opponents. Apparently, that's what it takes to get the GOP nom.
