It's, um, a fluid situation. Debord will likely be overseeing tight ends or possibly the offensive line next season in addition to his coordinator duties.

Is it possible that ZA stays on staff as the TE coach? Just come out and tell us…is the WR coach position going to be open after the bowl game or not? If he remains on staff with the same duties, I am guessing we see some attrition from the WR unit.

From the way the media is chattering, I have a feeling that even the staff isn't quite sure yet. It sounds like Durkin is taking his time with his hires and Azzani isn't exactly number one on his list.

Sounds ideal for a Butch Jones hire.

Eh, that's a bit of an overstatement. Azzani worked with some great WRs at UF with Meyer. Debord worked with Tom Brady and Chad Henne. Stripling worked with Derek Wolfe. Martinez and Jancek had loads of talent at UGA.

I think Butch's goal is to eventually have a staff with 200 years of combined coaching experience.

If Butch hired Canales, Z left, and we kept everyone else, the staff (not counting strength coach/GAs) would actually have a combined 225 years of coaching experience.

Azzani did not work with great receivers at UF. He came after their great receivers went to NFL.
