When you have playing time and huge numbers to take it's easier to sell. We are entering that middle ground where results have to show a guy why he'd want to wait 2 years to play. We are poised to do it in 2016 but we haven't yet.

Negative momentum. Shaky recruits are decommitting. We might lose a few more before the class stabilizes. Then we'll see who's solid.

This is where the lack of peer recruiting can really hurt. Last year, KMac would be all over social media, talking up UT and getting recruits to stick... or getting them pumped to choose UT over other programs. This year... crickets.

Phew I heard Johnson decommited and I couldn't believe it. Thought it was Alexis. That was a close one. Just keep stacking that D and build around JG and we won't even remember this day.

Funny how every anti Butch guy is coming out of the woodwork all over VN tonight.

Your post is spot on. How quickly some forget last December prior to Kirkland and Richmond. Hell even PW was visiting Auburn.

It's sickening to see how many of our fans are rooting for the guy to fail. I guess being able to say "I told you so" on VolNation is more important to them than actually watching Tennessee win games.

It drives me nuts. A few of our fans are pathetic. They're as bad as sidewalk bama fans as far as I'm concerned.

I'm seeing a lot more concern than Butch hating. There are always malcontents, but for the most part, people are just reacting to a disconcerting few days.

Dumbest thing I've heard is Butch is only a good recruiter because of legacies and in state kids...so I guess he should have told Barnett, Hurd, Berry, Robertson, JRM etc. thanks but no thanks.

No. Look at who is posting what. It is Butch hating. There are a few people on here with a well-defined agenda and they crawl out of the woodwork whenever there's an opening to attack him.

I'm sure him going 6-1 down the stretch and taking Bama to the wire was agony for them.

Those guys don't count because all Vols were sterilized after 1998, so there are no more legacies coming. Also, in-state talent is about to fall off a cliff and will soon be on par with Montana.

Butch needs to be outrecruiting Smart, McElwain, and Saban in GA, FL, and AL. If he can't do that, he's a failure.
