How do you see the RB rotation shaking out next year? Kelly, CFA worked in? Substantially similar to this year, and CFA redshirted? Thanks.

I think Young redshirts and CFA works in that slot...that triumvirate would get plenty of carries post Hurd/Kamara.

So what happens if Sheriron gets beat out next year? Possible move to WR?

Either that or transfer. Same for Dormady. I imagine if he moves to third string he's gone.

Personally hoping Sheriron beats out QD and takes over in '17. He's a true DT QB. Maybe will turn into a better passer than Dobbs too.

For me, there is nothing more beautiful than watching a QB carve up a defense Peyton style. That's why I'm hoping QD is that guy.

When we get the hurt players back our team will look much different in a good way. Some very talented players kept out of action this year due to injury. If we can have a healthy spring and bring most people back, sky is the limit for '16.

Couple notes:

I do not see Sheriron transferring and many in the program believe he will be a serious talent for us. He's the fastest QB on roster and has serious arm strength. This will be an interesting battle for backup qb this offseason.

Darrell Taylor is someone I've been hearing will be a player next year as a LB with opportunities to play some downs as a rush end

D Miller and Micah are progressing very nicely at CB and have gained considerable muscle weight.

We have two very talented RB's behind Hurd. Both still need time in weight room but from a depth perspective, the talent drop off will be minimal, especially when CFA is enrolled and gets in the weight room.

Griffin is coming along at safety and we should have two ball hawking safeties, which we haven't had in awhile, considering our current safeties are better run stoppers than coverage guys (although they have improved).

This team is improving at a rate that started out slow and at times felt stagnant but has now gotten to the point of rapid improvement. Butch has finally created an atmosphere and environment that breeds success. Now when new players come into the system, the acclimation process is much smoother and therefore these guys are more quickly ready to contribute on the field whereas in years past, butch had the difficult task of also acclimating the Dooley players to this system. It's only going to get better from here on out. 2016 was always the year that was circled on the trajectory map for true success, so enjoy it, because it will be the beginning of a long stretch of success for Tennessee football.

Been watching the Vandy and Kentucky games here lately. The young guys we have will be very very good on the back end. They are all tall guys with a lot of length. Griffin, TKjr, Berry, and Jennings at safety will give us a lot of speed on the back end. Will be similar to Berry and Morley at safety except maybe a bit more athletic as a group. Abernathy, Martin, Foreman, and Gaulden will be stalwarts at CB. Martin is just a first year sophomore. His potential is off the charts. Abernathy has a lot of speed at that size. He's very physical too and likes contact plus he plays with an edge. If Sutton comes back though we'll have one of the best secondaries in the country. The athletes we'll field can run and cover anybody in the country. I'm giddy about the 2016 defense. Even if JRM goes pro we'll have a 3rd year McDowell replacing him. I'd love for him to stay but we can replace the guys now without much dropoff. We're back boys!!!!!

From limited video, I don't think Jones arm is far behind Dormady. Faster than Dobbs and a nice arm, that'll be hard to beat out.

I'll be interested to see what his decision making is like also. From what we have seen, QD seems to have some good decision making skills. Spring game will be fun in that regard.

You can win in this offense with either a mobile pro style or a DT QB. Worley did not qualify as mobile. You need a good O-line to win big with a mobile, but you have a better balance due to the passing game. When the O-line and/or receivers are marginal the DT will win out every time. Which is why Dobbs has succeeded at QB while the O-line and receivers have developed.

On the Star Wars note: please do not post any Star Wars spoilers on here. Not gonna be able to see it right away and it'll royally suck to find out what happens on VN.

Come on those movies came out in the 70's and early 80's. You should have seen them by now if not on Betamax at least VHS, Laserdisc or DVD.

I can't believe some people have seen Star Wars yet. :loco:
