A weak instate class has certainly contributed to a somewhat less impressive class. We just passed on arguably the best instate player, in Williams.

I said "arguably" so you don't have to argue with me... I left room there. :)

Lol, if anyone is a troll here it's you buddy. You're the one that needs to drop the act.

What act? The fact I'm a fan of our starting QB?

My bad. I'm sorry I committed the sin of liking our starting QB. I didn't know it was trolling to not root for the true freshmen backup to replace him.

Minus the JUCOs, most of this class will contribute in 2017. We are going to lose a lot of key players after 2016, so this is a pretty crucial recruiting class for the future.

I expect a lot more redshirts this year for depth building. That may be one reason recruiting isn't as good. In years past we had to rely on true freshman and could sell immidiate playing time.

Not really. I personally don't like the talent in this class. And I'm not just talking about the guys we've got committed or we're looking at. I just don't think there is as much talent this cycle as there will be in 2017.

Expect a lot of the 2017 kids to jump ahead of the 2016 kids even if this class ends up ranked in the top 10.

2017 as a whole just has more talent than 2016.

I still think we get mecole, even if Richt stayed at uga. People read too much into his tweets. Hes playing the game and fan bases are eating it up and he knows it.

I can't speak for others, but Mecole's tweets aren't what make me think he's going to UGA. It's OV repeatedly saying Mecole is Georgia's to lose.

Now, I have not seen anything from OV since Pruitt left and went to Bama.....

95 Gators/Vols coming on Rewind this morning followed by 2001 Georgia/Vols. C'mon man we won almost every game over that decade why can't they show us drilling Bama in atleast one of them. I thought SEC Network loved us.

Agree on getting another O-line and DT. If they miss on the safety, JJ moving to that position could delay the need until the 2017 class. A top 15-20 class this year is fine. Fills needs and provides good developmental projects.

Lol, I'm actually thinking about STARTING a thread. Last year I had a thread going where I linked the realistic remaining targets we were recruiting into one thread. Sort of like a condensed version of the "Commits/Targets" thread.

Make two. One for merging new "recruiting sucks this year" threads into. Maybe that will confine "them".

Part of the hope is that if you provide "them" with information, they can't complain and be like "I don't have time to look through a billion threads, so I'd rather start one." Probably a futile effort though.

Idea #2: We have a "negavol" thread and a "sunshine pumper" thread, then people can just gather and wallow in self pity or bask in a pool of orange kool aid.

should see some serious coaching hires nationwide with the dead period, interested to see the shakeout

If Martinez leaves I hope Butch is able to hold on to Osborne. We really need his talent in the secondary.

this unusual situation of so many coaching moves ought to inflate their value a bit, a good time to be an assistant, i wonder how much Pittman pulled in at Ga

He was over 500k at arky, so probably close to that. He was one of the top paid position coaches in the country I think.
