'16 AZ DE Jonathan Kongbo UT Signee 2/3/16

There is no point in considering him a commit. We have a better chance of signing Brown then we do this guy. He is a great prospect but he also seems like a flake on the level of Lambert.

Where's Stovol? He had an utter meltdown when we pulled the offer from Marshall. This is hardly any different. It's why recruiting is a business and taking offers/commitments personally is pointless. The players can change their minds, so why should schools/coaches not be able to as well?

This thread is full of a bunch of whiney middle school girls. The kid has the right to take visits and decide what's best for himself and his family. Hopefully we keep him, but we might not.

If we do hold sign him, then you'll love him and will completely forget about him using his visits.

The other day I heard about Tavien Feaster saying he didn't think Dabo would allow him to visit South Carolina. So some coaches don't allow their recruits to visit other schools.

I wish this kid and Hardman would just cut the bs and pick a place and go there. Not saying it has to be us but I'm just over the leg jerking. I get a kid wants to enjoy the recruiting process but you can do so without the over the top public comments.

They're young and like the attention and probably do have a hard time deciding what is the best school for them with so many great offers to choose from.

Yea well it's really a waste of time to the coaches. If you're not sure about which school you want to go too then don't commit in the first place. It's annoying IMO.

I understand but telling a 17 year old that is almost a mute point.

That's the thing that bugs me most about recruiting. It's fun to follow but it's incredibly annoying at the same time. Butch is an elite recruiter, no doubt about it but this class is not shaping up what we expected to be.

Woah there. Better not say that or people might jump down your throat declaring you a negavol and how horrible of a person you are. Constant positivity man. Never doubt the Vols or you might lose your head.

I'm not trying to be a Negavol. I'm just giving my opinion on recruiting. Yes, it's a big deal to Volnation and me of course, but at the same time, 17 years can get pretty annoying in their recruitment. Maybe Butch has spoiled us, I don't know, but I expected this class to be better so far. I hope Butch can finish strong.

Lol I was being sarcastic if you couldn't tell. No worries there my man. You are all good. Some people on this board just don't believe you are allowed to have even small doubts about something so I was poking fun at that. Your concerns are valid but I am confident we will be fine. Just gotta win the bowl game against this supposed Top 15 team and we will keep the momentum going.

I get the feeling this class will be different cause we will have a lot of late commitments. The last two years were relatively uneventful on signing day. Other than Richmond, it's been downright boring.

It'll still be down by Butch standards, but I'd say top 15 is a given.

It keeps it exciting.:)

Seems like it's been a really slow year for following recruiting thus far. An exciting finish would make the next couple months a lot of fun.

It's gonna be a wild finish irregardless. I think the following guys are all announcing NSD: Warrior, Brown, Hardman, Dickerson. There could be more I'm not thinking of.

Why are you so emotional? If you dont like the process stop paying attention to it.

These kids have earned the right to do what they want during this process. It's the only time athletes have a choice.
