Last I checked UT's OL, running game and offense put up some pretty impressive numbers this season and won more games at UT than Chaney or Pittman ever did. Sure, they're good coaches but so what? We also have good coaches.

Eff UGA and their entire coaching staff, we whooped their asses in '15 and I expect to do the same next year and many more years after. Butch is building a monster in Knoxville. Recruiting is the most important thing in CFB and Butch is elite in that area.

I can't see how some of you are so scared of the competition. I say UGA, UF, Bama, USC and the rest better bring their A game the next few years if they want to have a chance of beating Butch's Vols.

Who is scared?

Chaney isn't a home run. He is Decent.

I don't think he is better than the combo of Butch and DeBord though. Don't think anyone said that or implied.

I'm not saying that didn't happen, but I don't remember that being a thing

I know we scored enough points to win lots of games we didn't. Actually, way more points in a few of them. Like Mizzou and UGA

His offense put up points. The offense this year had quite a few three and outs as well. There were times I hated the play calling but his offense will do work with the athletes in Georgia. He is a solid hire

Quit being scared.

We don't know how good Pittman is as an offensive line coach and Chaney is mediocre at best.

I love them hiring them.

I have to remember that complementing a hire for another team or saying it's decent is an indignation that our coaches and team suck, and that I am scared of that team.

We made WAY too many pre snap penalties.

I would be shocked if we weren't the worst in the SEC.

His offenses play exactly like the staff he is taking over for. Very undisciplined

How do you know he's a good coach? Please enlighten me.

He had James Stone, Antonio Richardson, Jawuan James, Zach Fulton.

He had four NFL players. It's hard not to look good with those guys. But, of course Mahoney is awful because his only NFL bodies are a Sophomore Center and a RS FR. Tackle.

Chaney is an excellent coach and football mind. He just needs to be reigned in by the head coach during the game. Sort of like Mike Martz and Dick Vermeil when the Rams won the Super Bowl.

How do you know anyone is a good coach?

Who said Mahoney is awful?

How do you know Mahoney isn't awful based off your logic that you can't know someone is good?

How do you know Pittman didn't help turn those guys into NFL players?

I think Pittman is good becuause of statistics. Those players mentioned...2.8 yds rushing average in 2011 without Pittman

Next year with him...4.5

He had a top 25 rushing offense each year at Arky

Signs point to him being good IMO

I don't think ithey could do much better than Chaney.

Who's available?
Who wants to start fresh in sec with a new head coach?

A lot to take into consideration.
Chaney's offense puts up numbers, the head coach will have to make him play winning football as well

I never said I know who is a good coach and I never said Mahoney is a good coach. Don't try and spin that.

I just think it's interesting that people worship Pittman but crucify Mahoney.
