The other professor just emailed me saying if I wrote a 5 page essay by Monday night that my final exam grade would be the average of my first two exams. Being a funny guy who gets along with his professors well has finally paid off! I could write a high quality 5 page paper in my sleep as I am-- spoiler alert going to learn about the Mock-- a journalism major who aced the English/Reading/Writing sections of the ACT and the AP English test.
A huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Thanks for everyone's concern.
We were all hoping for an outcome where you could be mocked mercilessly...
Actually happy for you :hi:
Tonight you will be visited by 3 VN specters...
LebanonVol as the ghost of VN past
Butchna as the ghost of VN present (the happy spirit in this trilogy)
Unfortunately for you, BruinVol is the ghost of VN future... (If you don't change your ways, we will all suffer with the bleak bruin VN future)
You will awaken Sunday realizing the wrongful path you have taken.
You will become a sports writer of renowned fame by covering the Tennessee Volunteers in their meteoric rise to the pinnacle of elite college football...
Your first piece will actually be an investigative revelation of the evil known as Cheek, filled with facts about embezzlement and how he has torpedoed the AD for years. This results in his resignation, but then subsequent criminal charges and prison...he thinks he is safe among his gator and bammer cronies behind bars, but the warden is a VFL and pipes in Rocky Top 24/7/365...
Catbone plays Tiny Tim of course....his Christmas miracle is that he finds a girlfriend who yearns for tall goofy bass players. She is also am optimistic VFL :salute:
God Bless Us Everyone!
Just saw the Chaney/Pittman news.
That's exactly what we didn't need to happen.
We weren't exactly running over people in Pittman' s year here. North Carolina was solid in the run game, but not spectacular when he was there. Bielema running the offense they do is as responsible for the Arkansas OL as Pittman.
Our OL that was really beat up this year, playing a converted G at tackle and two FR and two SO's at times, led the way to more rushing yards than Arkansas had this year.
With Pittman here we gave up like 4 sacks total. Pretty sure we were #1 in the country in pass blocking
And then he was the OL coach at Arky where they had a very good rushing attack
He is obviously a tier 1 assistant in my opinion
I'm just glad that UGA didn't hire someone that runs the spread. They would kill it with the QB's and WR's Georgia high schools are putting out now.
From Chaney's Wiki page:
"While at Purdue, Chaney, along with head coach Joe Tiller, became known for using the spread offense famously dubbed "basketball on grass" at a time when it was still considered a novelty and not commonly used. The system relied on a strong passing game and Chaney's offense was one of the most potent in the country.[4] This was evidenced by the fact that future Super Bowl-winning quarterback Drew Brees (starting QB 1997-2000) thrived in Chaney's offense and went on to break and set college, Big Ten and NCAA records.[5]
When Urban Meyer took his first coaching job at Bowling Green, he sought advice from several of the best coaches using the spread offense, including Jim Chaney.[5] After spending a few years in the NFL Chaney gained a newfound appreciation for the pro-style offense.[6] When Chaney came to Tennessee he and Kiffin fielded a very pro-style offense, very similar to what Kiffin used at USC. Tennessee currently runs a modified pro-style attack that still relies heavily on the pass game."
Pittman had an All-NFL OL to work with here. 8 sacks given up in 2012 and 15 in 2013 with the same guys under Mahoney, but Bray threw the ball away at the slightest hint of pressure and Worley/Peterman/Dobbs held it too long in 2013. We also rushed for more yards in 2013 than 2012.
I tried to tell everyone here Stanford fans are jerks.
