This is bad imo. On the outside if you don't know and just look at Arky you think this means downhill run team. Eason needs to look at tape of Bray, he should love playing for Chaney. Dang it.

Agreed that those two are a strong combination. Run my favorite type of offense too. Oh well, they are the enemy now. I hope they fail.

Pope our TE commit told 247 yesterday that Butch told him Debord to be OC/TEs and they would do this like we kind of expected. I hope it's Canales but it's probably Sheridan

It does mean he will stop running Chubb in the 4th quarter and throwing fades down the sidelines. He is a good OC, but they could have done a lot better.

UGA 247 is giving credit to Chaney for Kiffin's year here too. I don't think they know that Kiffin called the plays.

Guarantano's dad said he was happy with Sheridan and that's good enough for me. Normally I wouldn't advocate hiring a coach based on 1 kid, but when that kid will possibly be your QB within the next couple years for a couple years, then I say lets see what he can do.

Passing a 2year interview test is plenty good enough for me

On Dawgvent, most hoping this is not true.
They think they can do much better than Chaney.

Sheridan has been on staff for a couple of years now, so Butch has had plenty of time to get to know him and evaluate both his performance and potential. If Butch wants him, I'm good with it.

Lol but surely Kirby is smart enough to feed Chubb. When is the next Chubb? And that was Dooley the WR guy at the controls also. Tauren Poole and Rajon Neal vs Bray to Rivera, Rogers, Hunter, or CP. I'm probably taking my chances in the air too.

I got that from Football Scoop. This time of the year, there's not a better source for coaching search news.

The hire makes perfect sense to me. Smart is trying to replicate Bama. Chaney is Kiffin lite.

I've seen it said that CBJ is tight with Mike Canales from North Texas. What is their connection? Have they coached together previously? Thanks

He did it at Arkansas too and it cost them a couple of games last year and that's why he was replaced. Dude loves throwing the ball.

Took him off but had to put back on. Just too much of the same junk over and over. Has some good points but the. Has to argue it to death. Way better experience without it.
