IMO here is what I look at. How productive have our WR's been here under him? Answer that question and you got your answer.

I don't understand how it's that simple.

IMO you have to take into account the production of the offense. If you are on the side that this offense has been acceptable then the WR group is apart of that success

If one sides that the offense has been a failure then looking at the production of the WR seems fair.

I think the offesme gets a very solid B/B+ grade. Might have been an A without WR injuries

its just amazing how injuries have destroyed the WR unit every yr since hes been here. Makes you wonder what is going on.

JMO - their primary role has been blocking for the running game. We are asking them to be physical, and the results would say they have done a good job with blocking. Seems that someone is more likely to get hurt blocking than just route running.

Another factor that gets overlooked is that Butch Jones' priority #1 for a successful season was to keep Dobbs healthy for the entire year. We were able to execute our game plans (with the exception of the Arkansas game) and score enough IMO to win the games without slinging it all over the place.

I guess what I'm saying is that if you can run the ball well enough to move the ball and put points on the board, you're not going to put Dobbs in a situation to get hit and/or turn the ball over as often.

Throwing the ball isn't this team's strength right now. Running the ball is our bread and butter.

Evan Berry didn't get 1st or 2nd Team All-American from USA Today. Joke.

@JamesGuarantano: @SwainEvent @daydayvol don't let his age/resume fool you, Coach Sheridan has a great 🏈mind and could coach my son any day !

Just got a crystal ball prediction for arkeem byrd. Running back from savannah, Ga. I'll be interested to see if we take a second back this class. I think he would compliment CFA very well

OR should we be worried about the new coach in CFA's backyard?

i saw that. Byrd is a kid starting to get alot of late looks. He has a big frame and i think would compliment CFA well too. But i dont know if they offered him as a RB either.

@SwainEvent: If you're a Tennessee fan with any type of football IQ, you want Nick Sheridan back.

Dobbs very comfortable with him, back ups are too.

If you're referring to Richt, worry less. Richt brushed off CFA's recruiting visit at Georgia...didn't even meet with him.

Butch Jones officially has a coaching tree now.

Maybe in 20 years the SEC will be full of Butch Jones disciples.

Am I alone in thinking coaching trees are overrated?

I think there is some merit to them, but they get way too much play.

I made a post yesterday about our QB recruiting over the past year since Debord was hired.

Since that time we have dumped Kendall (who has dropped significantly in the rankings), added Guarantano who is nearly a 5* QB and is #2 DTQB and #31 overall player in the country, added Hunter Johnson who is the 2017 #1 QB and top 10 player overall and we lead for 2018 #1 QB and #1 player overall Trevor Lawrence.

And now we are seeing Swain and Jaret's dad come out in support of keeping Sheridan. I know that I have read in the past that the coaching staff is very high on Sheridan.

All that said, I think we need to keep Nick Sheridan on board and I assume that is the most likely scenario.

It's hire him full time or let him walk right?

He can't stay in same role correct?

Yep...he's about the our new QB coach. He will be a full assistant, taking Elder's place.
