If we are going to accept immigration from these areas into the United States, then we should have our people on the ground interviewing potential immigrants. The system as it works now begins with the United Nations vetting people in their camps. These camps are generally avoided by minority groups--Muslim, Christian, and others--because of the potential of violence against them from the main body of refugees.

We need to go to the camps outside the UN network. I think those who would appreciate the benefits of American life would be those who have faced the most oppression in these areas. Yazidis, Kurds, and Assyrians should be at the front of the line and could be more reliably vetted through interviews with religious leaders and elders. These key actors could accurately note who is part of their community and who is not. We don't get that from the ISIS-infested UN Refugee Camps. We get who the UN tells us is safe to accept. The United Nations isn't exactly a model of competence in these matters and I don't understand why this White House trusts them to vet refugees.

Those who value freedom the most are those who have felt the most the power of a government or spiritual power to deny them those freedoms. These are the people we should be identifying and welcoming here. For some reason, we refuse to engage more directly in the process and therefore give terrorists groups more of an opportunity to infest us through the current UN-directed model.

Maybe this would serve as a rallying point for the moderate and peaceful Muslims to police their own religion and weed out their bad apples. Solves our conundrum.

Also, of note, the SCOTUS today turned down a case that held that a locality could regulate certain guns. Interesting ....

So, since I posed the question and no one has answered- do you think that's what we should do? Ban all Muslims from entering purely on religious grounds?

I've seen them acting out in other countrys with demands and if said demands are not met, they will go home...

Wouldn't it be better if a coalition of countrys went in and secured their home lands. Help them rebuild and let them be proud of their own country?

This is way to vague.
I have no problem with Muslims. I do have a problem with the radical Muslims.

They come here, they learn our ways. They respect our laws.

If not, Cowboys and Muslims.

I obviously don't want to let in radicals either. I obviously want the Muslims that come here to live peacefully and not try and force their beliefs on others, and the vast majority do just that. No problems.

AR-15 has an effective range of 500 yards. I'll take it over a bomb. 6 shooter is too personal. I'm not interested in getting that close. :)

I'm simply saying that a religious based immigration ban with no wiggle room is ridiculous and completely antithetical to what America is supposed to stand for. If you don't disagree with that then I'm not sure what your point is.
