Where you flying out of?

I'm driving down from Chattanooga and staying with the in-laws in Pinellas County. Just bought my tickets. Hoping for a repeat performance of the TaxSlayer Bowl last year!

Knoxville on Allegiant as far as I know. I booked flights that i could cancel if need be...there's a shot holiday plans dictate we fly from Nashville, but I'll deal with that later.

Bama didn't beat UF but by 14. Clemson is light years better than UF. We ran the ball pretty well against Bama, Watson is just a better runner and passer than Dobbs.

Last year has no effect on this season. And no Watson isn't a better runner than Dobbs. He's smaller, slower, and less physical a runner. He is a better passer though.

Clemson will not be as competitive with Oklahoma as we were. I think Oklahoma wins 38-23.

Yeah, the flights from Chattanooga were spaced too far apart. I thought about flying out of Knoxville, but I figured the time spent driving there, checking in, boarding, flight time, waiting to de-plane, getting out of the airport, etc., would probably take over half the time it takes to drive down anyway.

We had to condense this trip into 3 days so it worked out ok for us.

The La Quinta up the street from the stadium was at 99 bucks a night about an hour ago if anyone is needing a cheaper hotel...

They probably have slower athletes as well. I see no way that this game isn't a massacre. DeBord will script the first 2-3 drives to perfection and then we will cruise along to a 35-10 win.

I can't tell you how favorable of a matchup this is for us. For a top 15 team they suck. A 1,300 yard rusher with only 4 TDs???

The only other realistic bowl matchup that could have been better is versus Pitt.

I can imagine uproarious laughter coming from the Tennessee booth as Jancek sends the house at Peterman over and over again.

Apparently Northwestern's beat writer is talking all kinds of trash on Twitter about how this isn't 1998 anymore, he's surprised he's getting angry tweets from Tennesseans because he didn't think we had electricity, etc.

This will probably look a bit like Iowa last season. NW lost to Michigan and Iowa by 38 and 30 respectively. Neither of those teams are offensive juggernauts. Grant, they can play good D against slow teams. But the talent and speed disparity will be on display. Butch with nearly a month to prepare will be special.
