Some may remember around this time last year I went through a rough time when my mom got super sick & was lying on her deathbed for about 30 days but by the Grace of God she pulled through it..the same week mom got sick my girlfriend of six years decided to break it off for another guy too Lol.

Anyways ever since then I've just really been burdened & especially the past few months just feeling like I'm not doing enough & making the impact on this world that id like to in my 23 years. I love flying airplanes & have a passion for it & but I feel like my purpose for living is bigger than a job. I just wanna help people in someway. Too much pain & suffering..too many people fighting for their lives with awful diseases..too many lonely & broken people that need someone to show them they care & they're loved & I just feel like I'm not really doing anything to help..I'm just here going through the motions of life. I just want to find my purpose in life & make a difference in the world is all.

I know this has nothing to do with football but you guys have been there for my before & have given me some really good advice. I KNOW I'm supposed to do more with this life than I'm doing..feeling has been too strong in my heart for too long to ignore. And trust me I pray about it daily so I'm Just asking for a small tiny prayer that I'd find my purpose in life..thanks guys.

When I find myself praying for direction I'm often reminded to just stop and reiterate how great He is. In your weakness you will find His strength.... The whole yoke thing, his burden is light let Him carry you. There is a God-shaped hole in all of us. Ask Him to fill it. Don't worry about doing anything until you have surrendered command. You are valuable to your Creator and he has begun a work within you.

Why has Ruffin McNeil not had offers? It doesn't seem to have just been Riley that made ECU good. Plus he was obviously smart enough to hire Riley. They had another good year. USCe would be his same grounds. Would give Mizzou an AA candidate. Seems to make too much sense.

Great post. I don't know that I have any life changing advice, but if you follow your heart you'll figure it out eventually. There's a whole world of opportunity out there if you're willing to step outside your comfort zone. It's cliche, but you really do only live once. You'll never look back on your life and regret any effort you took to try and help others.

Man. Same here dude. Been dealing with similar thoughts for awhile now.

You're not alone here. Lots of people don't think about this sort of stuff or feel things so vividly as you seem to. That's a good place to be in my opinion. God will use that desire in your life eventually. Our timing is flawed and His timing is always perfect. Stay in the word and stay the course brother.

Hang in there man. It's great to hear that you're praying and also have a passion to make a difference in the world.

Sometimes we're making a difference in someone's life and not even aware of it. Just because you don't have your dream job or dream girl, etc. right now doesn't make you any less important.

Some of us find our way while young (which you still are) and some take awhile longer. Stay confident in yourself, work hard, and trust God and you'll wind up exactly where you should be.

Also don't know where you are in terms of a flying career but there's several opportunities out there in aviation to make a difference in people lives.

I went and looked up Gary Andersen who I really thought was a shooting star just before him bailing on Wisconsin after one year. What a career free fall out at Oregon State.

Ziti was right fans love splashy hire names. Auburn and even UT under Kiffen to an extent are examples that steady programs (Pinkel as example) are better long term.

That wasn't the route I was going but that still proves my point. FANS of Iowa buy the hype.

I was talking about the hype of a name hire or the hype of hiring of an unknown. The unknown commodity such as smart always gets the fans living in their dreams because the guy has an unknown ceiling.

It's just natural.
