It's funny how in almost every coaching search it seems, reports some out saying the coach has accepted a job. And then within just a few minutes or sometimes hours, new reports come out saying it isn't a done deal yet.

Happens almost every stinkin time.

Martinez I'm okay with, but I think Jancek has done a really good job and I'd like to see him stay. I've got real mixed feelings about Pruitt being here.

He may not have wanted to fire Martinez. People had been calling for his head for years before he actually did it. Martinez went to Miami too I believe.

Can anyone offer some insight to this Jancek situation- I get that he's close with Richt but it would be a lateral move it seems- are they not happy here at Tennessee? If a change is made we better be upgrading- I have bad memories of Wilcox leaving and then well we all know what happened next....

IMO most if not all of what changes we have to the staff will be because cbj pushed them out.

They won't be fired out of professional courtesy

Yup, with the effort they have put in looking to be ready to bloom next year, none of these guys would take a lateral move. I think any staff chamge will be orchestrated by Butch and he will have apt replacements which will not disrupt staff unity.

I appreciate your guys positivity with this- I have spent too much time in the FF these last few years. I do trust Butch- just want continuity and no major scheme changes, especially heading into next season.
