Alright. That does allow for the discussion a little more so though it's still odd. I really don't want us to take Pruitt as even though he is an ace recruiter I think he would cause issues.

I mean, some dude on this board has f***ed his wife so issues are sure to abound. Lol.

FootballScoop has retweeted a couple of tweets saying Richt will be the next coach at Miami. We will see.

Georgia list should have looked like this...

Dabo

Dantonio

Freeze

Georgia is a top job but thankfully they don't know it.

They go after coordinators of legends instead of legends.

If Saban somehow leaves Bama (which I doubt), Bama will throw a ton of money at Chip Kelly and if that doesn't work they will make him an offer he can't refuse. That is how winning programs handle/make change. UGA (like UT) go after the small fish.

Told by sources close to Richt that he's considering the Miami job, but hasn't yet accepted. Trying to decide if he wants to coach

So is Smart coaching through the SECCG and playoffs or starting right away? I would want to start right away. His neck is on the line as of last night. I would want every minute in those offices salvaging a good class out of this year.

It's funny how in almost every coaching search it seems, reports some out saying the coach has accepted a job. And then within just a few minutes or sometimes hours, new reports come out saying it isn't a done deal yet.

Happens almost every stinkin time.

Has he officially accepted? I heard this morning he was still negotiating

Its just not this simple anymore. Coaches are making good money at alot of places. You just can't assume that a guy will relocate his family for a little extra cash when he is comfortable and winning. Plus, schools can usually match.

Florida was deemed a good job following Spurrier, and they hired Zook (assistant), Meyer (who was at Utah), Muschamp (coordinator), and McIlwain (Colorado State). They didn't get a coach from another top 40 job to come. Just the way it is now.

Heck, even Alabama tried Dubose, Franchione, Price, and Shula before Saban. All of it is really about timing.
