From dawgnation on Smarts potential staff:
OC: Tyson Helton, Billy Napier
RB: retain Thomas Brown
DC: Muschamp
Strength: Scott Cochran
WR: Bryan McClendon
DL: Retain Tracy Rocker or Florida D-line coach Chris Rumph

Haven't seen any of our coaches named for any positions at other schools yet, but there will be more action after all of the championships are finished this weekend

5-4 final week brings me to a final regular season record of 59-38. (.608 winning percentage).

I plan to pick all of the conf. championship games this Wednesday, and will do at least the SEC bowl games as well (maybe all bowl games).

Time for picks. Stepping outside of the SEC, where i finished the season 59-38, and picking all conf. championship games based on VegasInsider's Wednesday lines. Here we go:

Northern Illinois at -12 Bowling Green
Southern Miss at -7.5 Western Kentucky
Temple at -6 Houston
Southern Cal vs -4.5 Stanford
Florida vs -17.5 Alabama
Air Force at -4.5 San Diego St.
UNC vs. -5 Clemson
Michigan State vs +3.5 Iowa

My picks:

Northern Illinois 27 Bowling Green 44
Southern Miss 28 Western Kentucky 35
Temple 24 Houston 28
Southern Cal 38 Stanford 35
Florida 0 Alabama 31
Air Force 20 San Diego State 27
UNC 48 Clemson 50
Michigan State 30 Iowa 10

Good luck!

CBS Sports: Outback Bowl vs. Northwestern
ESPN’s Mark Schlabach: Outback Bowl vs. Northwestern
ESPN’s Brett McMurphy: Outback Bowl vs. Northwestern
Fox Sports: Outback Bowl vs. Northwestern
Sports Illustrated: Outback Bowl vs. Michigan
Sporting News: TaxSlayer Bowl vs. Pittsburgh
Phil Steele: Outback Bowl vs. Northwestern
SB Nation: Outback Bowl vs. Northwestern
Bleacher Report Liberty Bowl vs. West Virginia
Saturday Down South: Music City Bowl vs. Wisconsin
Campus Insiders: Liberty Bowl vs. West Virginia

Sporting News has us going to the Taxslayer because they have fla going to the Sugar. The only way that happens is if they jump ole miss in the rankings after the championship game. The Sugar has to pick the next highest ranked SEC team if we have a CFP playoff team. I think we go to the Belk or Outback. I think they will try the hardest for Outback even though we are Belks top choice. The Citrus really wants Michigan

How could we fall all the way to liberty or music city?

OV saying a reliable source has told him UT has contacted Pruitt

I think the staff changes are going to be interesting. I feel like Butch realizes to get to an elite level, his "best staff in the country" still needs some upgrades.

That said... i dont know what that looks like and wouldnt have chosen pruitt to be one of those guys. interesting.

With Georgia hiring Smart and USCe and Mizzou yet to hire coaches, one thing is for sure: Smart and both TBAs will be ranked higher than Butch by every non-Tennessee SEC fan.

Never seen a group of fans more eager to completely dismiss a coach in my life.

Pruitt runs 3-4 defense right? That's kind of antithetical to our current defensive identity.

Surely he wouldn't be a defensive backs coach only after fielding some somewhat respectable defenses and Martinez being pretty solid.

Man this is cray cray.

Can Pruitt coach LBs? Thig might get a promotion somewhere. Or Jancek becomes a HC?

No way do I want to go 3-4 before a potential SEC title run year.

It's fear. Fear of what he and Tennessee could be. When a major program is down, people want it to stay there and they are so eager to find any shortcoming and shine a spotlight on it that they can't admit that we are on the way back up, in a big way. It terrifies them.

D has been quite pleasing the second half of the year, I don't understand the Pruitt thing unless someone knows Jancek is leaving??
