Not that I want him there, because it would make it tougher on us. But it seems like Mizzou would make a run at Babers.

With the racial tension the way it is there, it just seems like they will have to hire a black coach. And babers is a good one, and one of the best rising coaches, regardless (irregardless :) )of race. And is apparently still available. And they already run somewhat of a spread, although I know babers's is more pass-oriented. But still...

I madw this point when his name was mentioned by the media. Perfect fit for both sides. After Odom he should be top target. He recruited that area a previous stops.

I'm watching College Football Daily: The Experts

There is a guy (Expert) on here that says Oklahoma will need a lot of help to get in the playoffs.

Obviously I'm no expert

I don't get the Mullen love. I think he's a good coach, but some act like MSU is Vandy-level garbage. Jackie Sherrill had higher peaks than Dan Mullen. Mullen has only finished above .500 once in the SEC, has never won a West crown, and has finished 5th in the West more than half the years he's been there.

Now, I think he's done a good job, and he's been pretty consistent, but he doesn't put the big scare into me. Heck, Sylvester Croom even eked out an eight-win season there.

Yes, he won the division once when the West was a little different but he also had 6 losing seasons.

I'm not arguing means. :)

I will agree I'd rather have a lot of other names on the list than Mullen. I think he'd be Richt 2.0, maybe even slightly lower--good but not great.

Player from Oakland in early 80's went to A&M from January St in Murfreesboro.

Came home in a brand new convertible corvette.

Georgia should have HUGE names on the list

I wish they would hire coach azziani haha

Edit: Supposed to be a reply to HG abouT Miami job...

But really, just get rid of Z

That's fair. Mullen has been more consistent, but his highs aren't there for me to be truly scared. He put together one run at the West and still couldn't get it. He's good. I just don't think he's scary good.

Plus, isn't his style quite a bit different than what Georgia currently runs?

Obviously, I know where that is and the implication.

Clearly he had a good part-time job. Young man workin' hard.

Fans need to trust Butch to make the right hires/fires with his coaching staff.

We (as fans) are a collective bunch of dumb butts when it comes to a lot of things regarding the program.

Last January our fan base was screaming to promote CZA to OC. Now many are calling for his head.

Just trust Butch.

Majority wanted Z gone last year.

NCAA forum is saying rumors that Will Grier has been dismissed from the team. Maybe just rumors but thought that was interesting with Eason taking an OV.

Quote from AD Hart:
Hart: "We've built the financial reserve up to where we are now with about $10M. For several years, we were at about $2M. Of course, we're still 14th of 14 in the SEC, so we're still a work in progress."

Article from B'ham Business Journal:
Tennessee ranked most profitable SEC football program
1) The University of Tennessee
Profit: $69,866,825
Percent change: 43.1%

Figures are for 2014. Bet it's even better this year. Alabama brought in more revenue but ranked 5th for profitability.

Profit is money after all the bills have been paid, "I smell a rat."

Depends on what they are considering "bills".

Majority? Not the way I remember it. People were fretting about losing recruits because Z recruits well.

People moaned about Debord. I think he's been a great hire. Can't wait to watch these QB's he's landed.

Exactly opposite of how I remember it.

Might see a position coach get that job. Azzani maybe? :)

Don't think Azzani is going anywhere, especially if TN gets into the Top 10 next year and wins some big games, then his stock could rise a little bit. But he has to get WR's produce also. Hopefully they will let Dobbs throw down field a little bit more and the WR's will get to show out.

Mizzu will probably need to give a older coach the position. They need stability and to help smooth over the tension there. Don't know if they will go after a young, unproven coach or not. I wouldn't.

Mizzou is promoting the DC to HC
