I agree with this 100%. Seems some people on here don't realize we are already back and that they are currently watching a team filled with players that are among the best in Tennessee history at their respective positions (Hurd, Dobbs, Barnett, C Sutton, E Berry, etc etc).

Next to Bama, we are the best team in the SEC.

We would steamroll Michigan in a bowl game

Florida has had a much more sexy attention driven season. Thanks to 4th and 14

9-7 over Vandy; OT win over FAU; hammered by FSU. Doesn't look too sexy to me. Guarantee you the Citrus Bowl guys would take TN over FL because we can sell as many or more seats, and we are playing better football.

We are back??? 8-4 with one "Good" win against Georgia??? and the rest against teams that we should have beat by 50 each time?? And did good to get out of a couple of those with victories.

Lets pump the brakes until we get to 10-2 or 11-1 thats when you know you are "BACK". Not going 8-4 against mostly cupcakes.

We have some good players but not the best, YET.

Remember when Chad Morris was a hot name? He went 2-10 and lost to Memphis 63-0.

Eh, SMU was the definition of a dumpster fire when he took the job. Taking that job was pretty much aggreeing to take on a 4-6 year rebuild. He took them from having about a -30 point differential per game to having about an -18 point differential per game this season.

Not saying he'll be a great coach or anything, but I wouldn't close the book on him yet. His coaching career is young. 4-5 years from now he may be a hot name again. Especially if he manages to get SMU to around 8-9 wins by year 3-4.
