Butch is upset about losing out on the Va Tech job so he was going to look into Illinois, but they just extended that interim guy so now he's considering Miami. (Kidding).

Mahoney leaves...Manning comes in to coach QB's/OC and DeBord moves over to the OL...If Coach Z leaves he is replaced by Tee Martin....Tennessee Vols will be National Champs next year

Gruden wore a red tie two weeks ago on MNF. Obviously trying to throw us off track. He blinked 19 times when on camera at the intro...obvious code for the 19 letters in "Tennessee Volunteers". Chucky is coming home.

Apparently some VN posters are super-sensitive toward anything perceived as negative. But isn't the purpose of sports discussion boards to discuss stuff? Who declared that there is a 24 hour moratorium on anything but rah-rah after a win? It's the end of the season and we probably won't have exactly this same coaching staff next August. What's wrong with talking with other Vol fans about what it might look like?

Our Grad Assistant/QB Coach has to leave or get a regular hire.

Who gets credit for Oline improvement: Mahoney or DeBord? If DeBord, he could take over Oline and we could bring in a QB Coach such as ... wait for it...Peyton to Coach QBs. lol

Azzani: not qualified to judge that one. Was it injuries, suspensions and dismissals, Dobbs accuracy or technique that drove the lack of consistency and big play ability??? Yes to at least three of those reasons.

Bonus Round: will we lose a Janzek, Stripling or Gillespie to another team?

Got to go with the folks projecting the turf guy to be terminated. Being replaced by Scott's guy.

I'm really not getting how asking if we lose any coaches is being negative. I think the OP means will other programs come after any of our guys not if they will be terminated. The need to attack perceived negativity around here is worse than the actual negativity.

It's close. But it's kind of like a dog that gets beat. Everyone here is conditioned to being smacked every time the hand coils back. So now it's just reflexive to show teeth and growl... hypersensitivity by program defenders is the product of overly negative posters.

Nothing wrong with OPs topic. It's just that so many people have called for the firing of every coach on staff at some point this year. Some could either perceive this thread as instigation or an open invitation to start bashing again. We're just Pavlov's dogs!
