According to my LSU buddy, ever coach wants to come to LSU. It is the best job in the country.

errybody will want the

Tennessee job (1st 2 times)
usc job (try 3)
Michigan job (1st 3 times)
tejas job
Nebraska job
UF job (take 2)

3 of those can be rivaled as good as a job that can be had without a worse AD.

Is it just me or does it sound incredibly stupid to buyout Les Miles for $17 million only to try and hire Jimbo fisher? Fisher is overrated. he won with an incredible stable of talent and a franchise QB. They have been less than impressive this year with alotnof those guys gone pro. What does Jimbo bring that is so much better than Les?

the ability to coach up a qb?

I appreciate what Randolph has done for our program through some rough times. That said, he is still slow and has had some rough games this year. I think we take a jump in athleticism.

He's playing his best football right now though. He's playing like he wants a shot at an NFL contract. Lol

LSU is apparently drunk on corndogs and wants to drop a load of cash for a lateral move. I say let them. Hell I'll chip in some mustard.
I've spent a lot of time around LSU fans. Money is not an object to them. While I like them much more than most fanbases, they are a delusional bunch. They think they will go get someone as good/better than Saban. They have completely forgotten what it was like pre-Saban.

The issue for the power programs of the world is never finding a host of guys willing to take the cash it's hitting the lottery when you make a pick.

I don't know why people think we won't replace those safeties with good players. TKjr would start at almost every SEC school this year. Berry even if he stays at safety will be fine with this being his 3rd year in the system.

It never is until your on coach 2 and you've got the second buyout to contend with.

Not what, but who...Randy Sanders, amirite? :good!:

I think they played their best 5 even if it meant Thomas was out of position. He is clearly one of the best OL on our team.

Will have to agree to disagree on that one, after a one legger played the position better when Thomas got hurt. My point is if you are going to play a true freshman at a position out of need (which it wasn't since Kendrick had already started 2 games at T and was healthy enough to play), why short change two positions unless you believe the Crowder 5 are correct. Thomas was a highly regarded stud C coming in. The grumping about Crowder was unreal on here that season.

Apparently we have set the standard for hiring and firing coaches. Things I've heard with these vacancies or potential vacancies: "we aren't as bad as when Tennessee fired Fulmer" and "if we hire the wrong coach, we could end up like Tennessee." Time for somebody new to get Munsoned.

I am not sure I can really analyze it more than that since we aren't privy to practice or meetings. But I think it's pretty clear that Thomas is one of our best lineman, and they were fine with Crowder at center. They played their best 5. Sure, they put Thomas in a tough spot but so was Kerbyson.

I had to give you a like for the Kingpin reference. :good!:
