Possibly. I can actually see the SEC losing a lot of its luster soon. Especially if some of the big programs make bad hires.

Kind of what I was thinking too. There is a very real possibility the decline of SEC dominance picks up momentum IF those big programs are without their current coaches and IF they make bad hires. Two big IFs, but certainly possibilities.

But I think that helps us and those with stability even more.

SEC loses its luster as soon as Saban leaves. He skews it all in our favor until someone else comes on the scene and wins a few natty's.

The SEC is going to be fine. The dominance began before Saban and will continue when he's gone.

When the rest of the country becomes as passionate as the south...and not just during the season but every day during the other 8 months as well...then the "losing luster" argument will be real.

As long as the south keeps producing more NFL players than anywhere else, the SEC ain't going down much..maybe a little while new coaches start settling in..it is going to remain a murderers row.

I don't disagree with you. I think we will always be the most dominant conference and have been for 20+ years. I'm more referring to national media perception, which always ebbs and flows anyway. Saban is a darling to the media and gives us all the benefit of doubt as a conference.

Just read in the FF that Michigan State was never in the lead until the final play in both the Michigan and OSU games. Pretty crazy...

Dantonio better be careful. When the devil comes to collect, he charges outrageous interest.

Pretty sure that interest was paid in the Nebraska game

Remember that year we almost won?!

"When I watch Indiana and Vanderbilt practice back to back, my faith in humanity is restored. It's like what Einstein said 'when I see an adult ride a bicycle, I am excited for the future' "

Other guy: So you're saying being here has restored your faith in humanity?

"Yes. You were listening ... and did you know that Hawaii is one of four states that doesn't allow billboards so we can't use espn billboards for this. You know. Billboards"
- Bill Walton during Maui invitational just now

He also just called the city of Newark awesome. I love this guy as he is consistently high

I don't think the Vandy game will be close.

We win 27 -6.

It won't our defense has been playing different since the Bama game. They finally realized how talented and good they are/should be. With Tuttle, Phillips, and Taylor coming into the mix next year we'll be hell on wheels up front. Add Austin Smith at LB and TKjr/Berry/Jennings at safety. The athleticism might be the best ever fielded as unit overall. I can't wait personally. 😁😁😁😁
