Neither deserve ranking.

We are a top 25 team...I don't care what any poll says. We can line up and play with any team in this country...yes, any team. We can run the football against anyone. Our defense has gotten better and better every week, even with the injuries. I guarantee you Saban is smiling behind closed doors that he is meeting Florida in 2 weeks and not us.

How about the New England Patriots?

If Les is done at LSU, does he coach again? Seems like he would have plenty of options. He may also want to take a break and do tv. He's 62, so he may not take another coaching gig.

Plenty have less total experience coming into the conference.

Plenty flame-out after some initial success in the SEC too. Muschamp, Chizik, and Malzahn for example. Actually, Sumlin has yet to match the success of his first year in the SEC as well. One could argue that Beilema has Arky slightly ahead of us right now, but you've also got to remember that he followed 1 year of Smith and Jones followed 3 years of Dooley. From questionable calls late in the UF game to second half failings on offense, Jones and co. have been far from perfect. However, I think a steady 2 win improvement each year and the overall improvement in all facets of the game is more promising for the future.

I had a question, we missed most of the game because of a wedding- so happy for the win!! Was the oline much improved with Jashon playing again? Also any injuries? Go Vols!

Well, we rushed for 248 yards against a pretty good defense and didn't give up any sacks, so the OL held up pretty well. Always room for improvement. I don't know of any injuries.

Rewatching Mizzou game. We totally sucked the life out of that place within minutes of stepping on he field. There was zero energy on their sideline.

Actually, most current SEC coaches had less HC experience when they took their jobs. Maybe all of them outside of Pinkel.

Look at all the coaches experience. I'm not just talking about head coaching experience. Most all coaches had experience at much bigger programs along the way. I'm not making excuses for Butch, but his background has not prepared him for this job as much as other cosches. He is learning on the job to some extent. Couple that with the dumpster fire that he inherited as compared to his peers and you get what we have.
