At what point do we talk about development?Despite all the squabbles here and there over the scheme, playcalling, and conservative second-half philosophy,, we are legitimately an "ideal Butch Jones QB" (see: Dan LeFevour) away from being playoffs-bound, or at the very least a very strong threat to beat Alabama in ATL. Probably a decent WR coach away as well, but that's not quite as important.
I love Dobbs, and he's absolutely the best option for this offense right now, but we leave probably 2 TDs on the field every game with him.
At what point do we talk about development?
Development of winning more games than last year?
The bottom line is that Dobbs gives us a running ability more than many other QB's. At this point, we are sacrificing 10% in completion percentage for his running ability. It is what it is, and they have to call plays to his strengths. If he can somehow hit more passes next year, then we will be dynamic. Even so, if our defense makes 2 stops, we are a minimum 9-2 with this Dobbs.
Yes. We have better players and the dregs of our schedule are really bad.Development of winning more games than last year?

Agreed, but imagine a Baker Mayfield in this offense. It would be unstoppable.
