Just throwing this out for discussion...

In no way am I making light of Pinkel's medical condition, but does anyone think he was forced out due to the racism stuff or he decided to resign due to the racism stuff, and they are using his medical condition as the excuse? Why wait until 3 games are left to announce it, especially when that happens to fall a week after all the racism stuff happened on campus? Doesn't add up.

UF vs UT in 2016 will be a matchup between two top 10 teams, IMO. We should start the season with a decent ranking and have 3 fairly easy games before we play the Gators to move us up in the polls. They also have 3 easy games. The East could be decided as early as Sept. 24.

Man thanks for taking the time to give me all that info! I really appreciate it. I am married with 2 kids and live in Jackson, TN which is getting to be a bad area and the schools are not good so all that sounds like an upgrade. Sounds like I might be able to steal a lake house too.

I've lived in JC my whole life other than a short time after college and during law school. It's a great place to live and raise a family. I echo what others have said. Downtown (where I work) is really being revitalized right now. Breweries, restaurants, shops, lofts. I'm 34 and have a 3 year old. Wife works in school system. There isn't really anything you could want that JC doesn't offer, other than a beach!

Do you play golf?

Let's take this to off topic thread if you have other questions... Haha.

One angle for him is the season was lost and this might give a lift. Timing says it was possible though. My question is what did he do wrong in theirs or the resigned admins eyes?

Something similar to this would be my guess.

Solid

Or maybe the crop of high school talent is not that great this year? If you look back at rivals top 100 lists over the years, you'll see some years with tons of impact players and future nfl stars (2007 and 2008) while other years the top 100 is filled with busts and barely any future pros (2005).

I'm guessing the staff is hitting the JUCO ranks hard this year because they think the 2016 high school class doesn't have the same quality of instant impact and future pros as previous classes (2014/2015) and future classes (2017).

It almost looks like Butch is trying to even out the numbers so we can sign the limit of 25 going forward without having to run anyone off. We signed two really big classes the last two years. JUCO's will even out the classes pretty quickly.

It will be more likely if we win out from here too. This Missouri game is going to be super intense

I think his decision to step into the fray and send out the family message was made easier because he knew at that point that he was done at the end of the year.

His condition may have gotten worse. No way he was forced out. For crying out loud that guy has done wonders at Mizzu. But I've done some thinking on it, what I came up with is maybe it's worse than they originally thought.

One thing to keep in mind regarding this season: we have a ton of young and talented players - future pros, but there is a very solid chance that we don't have a single player drafted in next year's NFL draft. Our time is coming boys...soon.

Sorry, I've been sick and busy. Going to try to do it over the next hour. Probably not as in depth as I like, but I'm behind on a lot of things right now

I noticed none of these slackers are jumping in volunteering to help out. :)

Anyone live in the Johnson City/Kingsport area? I am applying for jobs in the Eastern part of the state and wanted some insight into this area. Any information about cost of living/schools/ communities, etc. would be appreciated.[/QUO

It's a great place to live. I lived here all my life. Ive did quite a bit of traveling the cost of living is cheap compared to some parts of Tennessee. Like they said the city schools are better than County but both are fairly good. Hour and a half from Knoxville is always great. One hour from the Great Smoky Mountains. 1 hour from ski resorts in North Carolina. Five and a half hours from the beach. We have lots of outdoor activities in the area. The only complaint I have about this area is jobs if you're in the medical field you have it licked.Manufacturing base company's are limited. Lots of new shopping centers and places to eat in Johnson City. Johnson City is rebuilding downtown similar to Asheville. Hope this helps and see you around. Grammar nazis please disregard any mistakes as I'm using speak to text.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.

I agree. Lots of things to be optimistic about. I believe all of us would still be elated had we just beat UF. ok not all

Man, that reminds me of the 90's. The stresser of the FL game to decide the east so early in the season. Gonna be great. That game is the start of the tough stretch. We win that game, a lot can happen after that. It'll be the first time the team, coaches and organization will taste victory on another level. Can push the confidence to a new height. I believe we beat FL next year.

I think Owen Williams has a chance in the draft (even undrafted he'll play on Sundays).. But he wouldn't return either way.

You might be right with that thinking.

Thanks it sounds great. Maybe I can end up out there. Oh and I love to play golf. Maybe we can hook up if I go that way.

Kerbyson will be drafted. Owen Williams as well. Pig if he gets his life together.
