Mizzou is kind of like UT in 2008. Team has a great defense with a beloved long-serving head coach on the way out, but no offense to speak of.

They are welcoming a brood of hungry players wanting to end the season the right way too. We will be okay, we will force no less than 3 turnovers and quiet their pathetic excuse of a fan base.

If Richt leaves Georgia and with Pinkel out after this year, then Butch is the de facto SEC east longest tenured coach in 2016. Stoops started a few weeks prior but he could be axed too, even at that they pretty much started the same time.

I don't see Stoops going anywhere this year. Wouldn't make sense for Kentucky given that so many Major schools will be/might be looking for coaches.

Forfeit now imo.

It is annoying that every season I think we have a good chance to beat Missouri and yet something always happens -- Derek Dooley, Mizzou turns out to actually be really good, their beloved coach retires and we get to play them at his last game on Faurot Field on Senior Day...I'm sure next year will be no different.

I agree. Anyone thinking this game is going to be a walk in the park are sorely mistaken.

It should help us match their "will" here in the fact they have beaten us 3 years in a row

TOs only way we have a comfortable 4th QT IMO and we simply aren't good at turning teams over

This game is going to look very similar to the Vandy game last year, except Mizzou will probably move the ball even less than Vandy did. Need a couple turnovers and a special teams score or big return.

I hope Dobbs is ready to run. If he has to sit in the pocket all night it will be an ugly game.

@Volquest_Paul: Butch uses freshman DL Darrell Taylor as an example of someone who redshirts and they really start to blossom.

It looks like Nick has his priorities all outta whack again. Where's the Official Pre-Game/Game Thread? How does one say "slacker" in Thai? :)

Their defense is considerably better than our defense
Our offense is vastly better than their offense

If we avoid disastrous turnovers like we had against UGA and UK, we can probably stop them from scoring more than 6-7 points, but I'm not sure they can stop us from scoring 14...especially if they punt to us all night and go 3 and out.

We also have a big edge in special teams. I really like our chances in this game.

Imagine if vandy wins the A&M game. They're gonna come into Knoxville with bowl eligibility on the line:

1) would have never seen that coming at the beginning of the year
2) would make the game tougher on us. Although they usually give us their very best shot anyways.
