Whew. ....not gonna be hearing from Rousey for a few minutes after that.

Perhaps she can use the time to get a coach to show her how to box.

Yeah we will. Idk how many people remember Tyson losing to Douglas or Holyfield the first time, but talk after was 75% Tyson. Why did Tyson lose? Was he hurt? He wasn't in shape. Outside distractions. Blah blah blah. We will hear a million excuses till Holm beats her again.

Who else saw any of Dana's interviews? He didn't seem very happy at all with the outcome.

Cant imagine he would be. Rousey is his golden goose.

....he has to go back all in on McGregor and his imminent destruction at the hands of Aldo and Jon Jones keeping it together.

Here is a direct quote from RR to Jimmy Fallon last month. She was asked "but if you were to lose how would it go":

"She’s going to try to keep distance and keep far away from me and get me frustrated into a point where I’ll make a mistake and she can try to kick me in the head -- but it’s not gonna go like that.”

True, but it also sets up a major rematch that a lot of people are going to buy. Ronda's next fight will likely be bought by more people than it would have if she had won.

I don't see how this is bad for the UFC. RR was only planning on fighting 1 more year I think. It just gives Dana another name to promote and a huge rematch event. Not to mention There is nothing that would hold HH back from being a star. She's kind of attractive, she has ridiculous striking, and anybody is more likable than RR...

Yeah the UFC has lost a lot of big names/draws, people casual fans knew, the last few years. BJ retired, GSP went off to chase Aliens, Silva finally got old, Brock got kneed back to WWE, Jones went full stupid. Ronda as you said, was their golden goose.

I was tired of her act. Cocky, not hot and trashy.

I agree with you in principle, but it bugs when people judge fighters for this quality. It's in the nature of the sport. They all express their arrogance in different ways, and the ones who are outwardly brash do it to get in their opponent's head. It's all in the game.

It's apparent that RR just has an ugly personality. I don't think she's a bad person, she just has some very visible bad qualities.

Connor? Doesn't he still have the hype train?

Yeah. But Ronda was the UFC's Tyson, everyone knows her and tuned in to her fights.

Eh, I don't follow UFC as much. I got into the Connor/Mendes fight and wasn't sure how big he's being hyped for the next fight (against Aldo I think).RR was one of my least favorite people anyway. Just seemed a little fake and overly cocky. Maybe if she was facing similar skilled opponents but it was just sad and boring.

Not saying he isn't being hyped, he is a lot. Ronda was just a different level.

He earned a little respect with his win over Mendes, although Chad did expose him a little, and I believe can win with time to prepare. His win over Holloway is another solid win, although Holloway has improved a lot since then. He is definitely overhyped though. I can't think of another signature win. I think Aldo puts an appropriate end to it soon though.

She will slit her wrist if she reads this.

The thing about Conor is part of the hype is his nationality. If he gets beat by Mendes, few fans would "migrate" to follow him. Part of Rousey's hype is she is a badass female athlete. Well she just got beat by a badass female athlete. I feel like a lot of fans instantly made that migration. I didn't make a point to see this fight live. I will definitely catch the rematch. I think everybody will.

Tweet it to her then, pretty please Huffy?

I wish her a happy and long life.

Eh, she just has this ***** face thing about her. She tries to look tough but it comes across just fake and tryhard-ish.

I was riffing off the fact that "fake" is her ultimate insult. She called Tate "fake" a dozen times on the reality show, and it's what she called HH on twitter.

Oh haha. I saw some of her comments on HH. Funny stuff in retrospect cause she basically predicted exactly how she was going to lose.
