Does anyone know when Jashon will be back? Hopefully soon! Also did Jack play yesterday when the 2's came in? OL looked putrid yesterday! Who would you blame on that the most?

Jennings' big hit on special teams today is another reason why he needs to be a safety next year, provided we have the numbers we need at WR.

Was probably best play of the game yesterday. He's fun to watch on the kickoff team.

He looks genuinely insane on kickoff coverage. Did you see him jumping up and down after Medley kicked it might of bounds? He was mad he was robbed of the chance to hit somebody.

I'm pretty sure Dormady was playing with the first-string o-line at least for the first series, but I did see Jones in there at one point because he got turned around looking for a block. Not his best play.

Was told '17 TN RB Antwuan Branch visited yesterday. He is from Kenwood High School in Clarksville. He has rushed for 2,456 and 26 TD's this year. Vandy offered last week

I missed that. I have noticed the past two games while the kickoff team is in the huddle still, he's screaming at members of the other team, and has teammates "holding him back". It's great to watch, love to see the enthusiasm.

He's always the first one down there to hit the returner. Every time.

I like the patience that Kamara shows. To me, that the weakness in Hurd's game. He's bigger, stronger and a better blocker but Kamara has the better vision and patience.

What time slot do you guys think we get for the Vandy game? Sure hope it's not the 12 slot.

If the 4pm SECN slot is truly for the "lowest" game, I would think we have a shot at that. Our competition is UK/Louisville though.

Maybe we could snag the 7 ESPNU?

Anything but noon.

Maybe they will move Jennings to safety during bowl prep and unleash him, depending on what type of team we get matched up it would be a good measuring stick for Spring.

I'm more excited than I ought to be but I have no perspective on why people are more anxious than they should be either. With hindsight as our guide we played some of the best teams in the nation all close. We beat all the lesser teams aside from AR who just knocked off LSU. In summary.

We've now come from behind to beat an SEC opponent.

Trounced a cellar dwellar SEC opponent in epic fashion.

Closed out a resurgent SEC opponent even with a poor second half.

Pitched a shutout with minimal effort and lots of injuries.

Qualified for bowl eligibility with 2 games to spare.

Gotten fanbase's expectations high enough to be pissed about doing all this.

Beer and late night. I fully believe the entire team ditched their sleep meters on Friday. I envision some were shaking off dry heaves before this early kickoff.

The only concern I have about our remaining games is Dobbs. He is off and I believe his foot injury is preventing his runs and messing up his planting on throws.

Anyone see that laser beam Smith dropped from Dormady? Impressive.

There was talk this past week about Hurd's frustration with the offense, O-line and play calling. As many have said, Hurd would be better suited as an I-Back in a pro set offense with a lead blocker. Kamara seems to be more productive as his abilities seem to fit the scheme better. However, there were a few times yesterday when Hurd would miss the hole that was there and bounce to the outside where he was tackled for no gain. I've read Travis Stephens has said something similar about Hurd and he will learn not to do that.

The question is why does Hurd repeatedly do this? Hurd is a freak athlete who will most likely have a long career in the league. I believe the issue is that he has very little confidence in his O-line and pretty much has his mind made up about where he's going unless there's just a gaping hole at the point of attack.

I say this because I'm seeing how well Kamara does. He is a bit quicker from 0 to full speed than Hurd and seems to trust the hole will be there when he gets there. As for top end speed, I would guess he and Hurd are very close. Hurd has almost 3 times the number of touches as Kamara; however, Kamara is averaging 6.9 yards/touch to Hurd's 4.4 yards/per touch. That's significant and worthy of Kamara getting more touches in my opinion. Thoughts?

Kamara did this against NT where speed and size are issues. Every back has a weakness and even misreading the gap Hurd can make 3-4 yards.

Do you all think Dobbs is still injured or was holding back intentionally to prevent further injury- he was not himself at all and the offense fed off that in a bad way except Kamara he looked great!!!

.

Imo, there is one thing that is bothering Hurd, as it does most elite RB's. It is the amount of times he is getting hit behind or at the line of scrimmage right after getting the ball. That is extremely frustrating for an RB when they have no time to make anything happen. He is getting enough carries, it's just the blocking at the LOS is very sporadic. That leads me to believe it is not necessarily a scheme issue, but either a lack of experience issue, a predictability issue, or both.

Of course Dobbs...lol. The problem is the Oline plain and simple.
