Take away the wins.

Why? A Bama player got paid $33k just a few years ago and was proven with documentation. It came out at the same time that Mo Couch's came out. Mo lost almost his entire senior season...nothing happened to Bama, and that kid took 20x more money than Mo.

Mo did lose his season. Suspension started with Florida and went the balance of the year.

I'm no republican but Ted Cruz exudes slimeball. He reminds me of Martin O'malley on the democrat side. Pure slimey politicians.

If I was a republican I'd vote for Trump. He's actually authentic.

I strongly disagree. Cruz keeps his promises and has demonstrated the most solid, consistent conservative record. He is no slime ball, sir. He's as direct and honest about what he believes and intends to do as anyone I've ever seen. Even the Democrats secretly admire that. Ask Alan Dershowitz for reference.Ted Cruz is almost single handedly bringing back the Reagan conservative revolution. You guys will see soon enough. However, I will vote for Trump or any Republican running right now save Jeb! and Kasich in a general election without batting an eye. To be fair I also think there's a very good chance that Ted Cruz would be selected as a running mate should Trump or Carson win the nomination anyways. Win win.

Joking OG.

Question for all. I am 27 at this moment. From a generation aspect, am I grouped in the same gen as the clowns at Mizzou?

As a 30 year old, I'd say no. However, I would say there are old clowns and young clowns. Just look at some of the behavior of those on Mizzou's faculty.

If you were born after 1980, you're considered a Millenial.

This fits with most of what I've read. I was born in '80. As such, I don't feel like I fit in with the generation ahead of me or before me. Yet, I also identify with both to a degree.

The young ones are always complaining about how the older ones squandered the opportunities and resources they had. The older ones are talking about how entitled and whiny the younger ones seem.

I agree with both, but not as strongly as either group claims.

I'm an old one...my generation created the "what have you done for me lately/live for the day" mindset. The young ones are perfecting it...

We had better parenting and family values as a country in the past. Seems like a simple answer. Until this improves, we'll continue to breed a self righteous and lazy culture.

Agree here. Not to mention the alarming rate of marriages that don't last and given up on. We are teaching the youth that everything is disposable including the one who should be your main accountability partner. Marriages need to thrive. The foundation. Brick by brick, lol.

There is a lot of truth in this. We aren't as different as a lot of people want to believe. Being in different stages of life has a lot to do with it. Older folks have always cracked on the youth, and the spring chickens always complain about the old fogies.

Look at VN with the "blue hairs" and the "dumb kids."

(See how I tied that back to TN sports? :) )

Since we're being all philosophical this morning, and I've had my first cup of coffee...

It goes back to God and family IMO.

It's obvious our society/nation has been and is continually trying to minimalize God and His role. So I don't think I really need to expound on it here.

On family, my personal theory (probably controversial to many, but again i said it's a theory ) is that I think it goes back to WW2. The men went off to fight and, thus, left a lot of open jobs, and the women had to go outside the home and work to fill the void. And when the war was over, the trend continued of women working outside the home. And parents thinking "I want my kids to have it better and easier than me". Not necessarily a bad mindset intrinsically. But what/where is the focus?

Anyways, with a larger and larger percentage of women working outside the home, that had two ramifications: who is left at home to raise the kids and teach them and instill them with the important values and such? And so kids had more and more time/influence with outside sources. Second, it put women and men together for large portions of time daily at the workforce. And when you spend more time with someone from the opposite sex than your own spouse, unwanted consequences can come about. And I think marriages suffered because of it. And thus further brokedown the healthy foundation of family.

Then within one generation or so, we saw the rise of feminism. Closely followed by the "sexual revolution" and the "free love" movement. Which further devalued God's plan and values.

Disclaimer: I realize a lot of these views come across as sexist. I hope people don't think that of me. I think women are super important and extremely vital. Extremely. They can do things men can't. And as people and as souls, they are just as important as men. Not less important at all. But I do think we have different roles as a generality. And yes I realize it doesn't fit every situation. And things happen, that make people have to change from the plan/mold that would otherwise be best. I'm speaking in generalities, here. Ha.

And amidst this, too, LBJ brought in his social reforms, which would lead to huge harm to the family in minority communities,
Which we are still seeing to this very day, where so so many children are raised by single mothers, and without a full and healthy family unit. And there is an ever-repeating cycle of acceptance of government dependence as the norm.

Anyways, I hope I haven't offended anyone. Like I said it's a theory and you don't have to agree with me. Just putting some thoughts out there. And I hope I explained it well
Enough to make similar sense to others that it does to me.

Anyways. I think I need my second cup of coffee now. Ha
