It's so ridiculous that on the surface it's laughable but then you have to see how serious a precident has been set. Scary to think about what happens next and where.

We even joked here about doing something similar to cheek but sadly the mizzu deal leaves just about anything on the table

Honestly, I'm OK if the three faculty members, in the video, get fired and this goes away now.

It's best for this just to drop off

There was a report on NBC Nightly News last evening about a similar "protest" to oust another President. I can't recall the college, but believe it was in the northeast.

I hope the protesters had a good time and feel it was worth it...as the news, opinions and editorials come out exposing this for what it was, it's going to make them look extremely bad.

Martin Luther King is shaking his head right about now...

I don't disagree with that.

I think firing the three bully faculty members will set a, what I like to call, counter precedent that is fair and just. It will encourage faculty to really understand the protest first before wrecklessly making an ass of themselves in front of the country.

Missouri already lost a recruit from this.

I'm upset that we haven't ran more TE/RB wheel routes and TE seams. No curl/flats. Just started to throw slant routes.

It seems like everything that we have tried to accomplish through the air, especially in the former part of the year, has been through deep concept routes that take 4-6 seconds to develop.

saw where Troy Pride Jr from Greer, SC de committed from VT. Tennessee and Notre Dame are the other major players with him. Four star 6 foot CB. His stock will prob continue to rise on some other sites though. I think hes from about 2.5 hrs away from Knoxville.

They essentially gave a drunk keys to a Ferrari. It's one thing to have a bunch of entitled, uninformed kids parading around and protesting just to protest but, validating their actions by relieving the President of the University is as bad as it gets. Spineless administration.

Edit: And the faculty and staff who ignited this fire are worse than them all. I worked in higher Ed for five years, I met some very intelligent people, with multiple degrees, who didn't have a lick of common sense to get out of the rain but, boy, they thought they were an authority on everything.

Sadly, I have family members who fit that mold as well. It's one thing to have a degree...another thing all together to have an education.

Random Question: Has Deerpark chimed in on the whole crappy field issue recently? Just curious to know how that meeting went Monday between school officials and Butch. Is there a plan in place to correct it?

Jones was asked about the field condition during a recent press conference. He said there was a meeting about it. No details or preferences were mentioned. I'm sure he just wants a field that doesn't resemble a muddy pasture.

Seems to me they should have a cover to keep on at night, the burmuda grass green, and growing into Novemember and not overseed with the rye.

The rye grass is beautiful but it holds water much more than burmuda and is very slick with poor footing when wet.

Seems like a pretty cheap solution

Let that chainsaw crabgrass grow. Rasberries, cuts and the avoidance of falling will show. That stuff is dangerous. Several Highschools had soccer fields made of that when I played in HS.

They have done nothing but chunk cash at the field. Don't put in astro turf just start lining it with cash we are spending. That will distract the competition.

In truth the field could probably use some rest. Traditionally grass belnds used to contain a percentage of clover because it was beneficial. People want turf too much like a picture.

Not sure if this is what you are referencing but there is a thread about the field conditions and DP mentioned in there the current situation regarding the field maintenance. Basically is sounds like the guy the in charge has a totally different philosophy about the field then in the past and a lot are not impressed with his method.
