Pretty much this. He wouldn't have a shot at getting drafted where he deserves to go until his redshirt Jr year if he transfers. He can be prepping for the draft in a little over a year if he sticks it out.

In the past, 74 has said Jalen would like to run some power formations to go with the shotgun. Butch apparently listens then goes back to the usual.

I've seen nothing to suggest that Hurd is thinking this way. I think that talk is just VN taking the rumor and trying to reading between the lines. We all know how accurate we are when we do that.

I do agree with you that this was probably Hurd venting after a frustrating game and a friend/family member displayed poor judgment by airing it out. Some conversations aren't meant to be publicized.

You should replace the SOME to MOST. Heck, I'd even settle for ALL. :good!:

So BYU plays Missouri this weekend. Normally, if Missouri were to cancel the game, they would have to pay BYU 1 million dollars. However, BYU has said they will waive the fee.

This is my take. If they can't get push running the scheme they use every day, how are they suddenly going to when doing something completely new?

Of course, I wouldn't mind some power look wrinkles either.

That said, I'm in agreement. Family, friends, or whoever shouldn't be posting transfer thoughts online. It probably happens to most student athletes at some point in their college careers. It doesn't need to be aired. Nothing good comes from it.

In all seriousness, I always thought this offense would not fit too well with Hurd. He'd definitely thrive at AL or LSU. But he'll get his chance in the NFL. A better line next year and a great chance to beat AL and FL, too. It would be very dumb to transfer. Hope he stays. He's a huge asset to this offense.

When the OL blocks, Hurd gains big yards. The scheme is not the problem.

LSU and AL in regards to a power I formation instead of a spread/zone read. That's all I was referring to. And Travis Stephens said that Hurd still has a lot to work on. Hesitates too much in the backfield and misses gaps. All can be corrected. He needs to stay. His junior year is lining up perfect for him here..

Andre Ware usually annoys me a little calling games. He annoyed me a lot on Saturday. Most of the time he sounds like he's trying to lull you to sleep. This weekend he was pulling for the other team a little too hard on top of that.

Both booth guys were pretty terrible on replays, too. On Sutton's forced fumble every time they'd stop it to show the official with his hand up, the ball was either on the ground or already in Sutton's hands. I'm not arguing it was a fumble, but they did a horrible job analyzing the replay.

My initial thought was that protesting to get the chancellor to resign is a stupid idea. It doesn't solve the problems that are being complained of. It's like taking pepto bismal to treat cancer.

However, the number of people close to the situation who are siding with the protestors makes me wonder about this guy.

Those defenses have sold out to try to slow down our running game, but we were still effective. Everyone knows you have to make Dobbs beat you with his arm, and he's done that the last 2 weeks.
