Even then, what do they expect him to do about someone yelling the N word? Im sure they want any student who would say it to be expelled which is crazy and violates rights seeing as a public institution kicking someone out for that could easily be seen as a violation of freedom of speech.

Mizzu AD should man up and threaten to have them kicked off the team if they do not show up, problem solved. Just inmates trying to run the asylum.

Yeah but let's realize that you don't know as well I dont know the facts. They site 1950 in their little twitter hash tag, and it drives me nuts when we all know that Jim crow times were a little bit worse than somebody putting a swastika on a wall written in poop. I mean, who is the loser there. I say the stupid kid that had to touch their own poop or worse somebody else's poop.

Also you're going to have an awfully hard time convincing normal people who aren't "progressive" blowhards that you are "marginalized" while receiving a full ride scholarship to the university. That's just not the way logic works.

I don't understand the issue that people itt have with these students. They are exercising their rights in a calm respectful manner. No marching. No riots. They are simply going on strike.

I mean good for them for doing that but it's a completely overblown situation that is being made worse by the attention they're giving to it. People are going to yell the N word and make poop swastikas because they know it will illicit a reaction out of them. The fact they're willing to strike over some stupid troll kids is just asinine and reeks of attention seeking.

Agree but since so many inmates are running so many asylums all over the world there chances of success may be pretty good.

I think the issue is that it sounds a lot like an opportunity to take an early vacation during a crap season all while hiding behind someone else's cause. I don't necessarily have an issue with what they are doing, but they don't have a right to a full ride scholarship. That scholarship is contingent on performing on the field. I have no problem with yanking their scholly.

Looking at this from the school's POV, my issue would be that these guys are receiving a free education in return for participating in the football program. Now they are refusing to participate in football activities. Consequently, they are not upholding their end of the deal and their scholarships should be revoked.

Do you have any idea what is taught in an average black studies course? Creepy stuff for the most part, and if you are a white kid just trying to eek your way threw school and mind your own business you should know that "white silence is compliance" i.e. if you do not stand up for their cause you are a racist.

Sure it is but Missouri has nothing to do with it. If faculty was caught saying slurs then this makes sense. Students that aren't identified is not something the University can directly impact. The resignation of a president certainly changes nothing

Pretty sure that he meant that as a figure of speech. Don't think he was implying that the young black men are criminals. This is an example of the f***ed up discourse we have in this country right now. We are a nation divided and there is no one working to mend the divide and many working to widen it.

Are they doing it just to entertain drunk fans or are they doing it for a free college education and an opportunity to play in the NFL?
