Butch does a lot of things well. Managing the clock is not one of those things.

Not sure how you can base that statement on that last drive. A fumble on the first play killed a lot of time and just put the Vols behind the sticks. Hard to execute a 2 min drive when the QB is not accurate. If he hits Pearson in stride, he may score and Vols are at least in FG range. Then you are bragging on the great last drive.

The defense had a very good half. Pretty much dominated a good Scarolina offense. The offense had two good drives and then spent the rest of the half self destructing against a very suspect Scarolina defense.

Still a young team and they play like it. Up and down. Dobbs seems distracted in this one. Not very sharp at all.

You are right about Dobbs, he seems to be missing the ability to know where people are, its odd.. hard to put into words.. some wizard here help me find what I am attempting to imply

When would you have advised Butch to take a time out? Did you want him to stop the clock so SC would have time to get the ball back and score?

The idea that you have to use the timeouts or you're bad at clock mismanagement is highly flawed. Butch has messed up with time management in other games, but this half wasn't one of them.

The floodgates were opened by the staff that has blown 2 TD leads multiple times this year. One minute with 3 TOs and a fast-paced offense is plenty of time for a drive.

That's not being negative, that's being realistic.
