Condensed version of him was able to have the most successful seasons in program history...strung together...possible if the playoffs were reality a year earlier, they make it. Hard to figure out what their "expectations" were but he blew up his predecessors track records. Imagine what a young hungry version could've accomplished? If they land Herman? You won't have to.

I think there is a lot going against them but you could be right, time will tell.

I know confidence blinds, but if I'm a coach, I see that Steve is leaving the cupboard pretty bare, and having to fight Tenn, UGA, FL, and A&M annually, and thinking that there may be an easier path to the playoffs than that.

That's an awesome moment. My dad raised me by himself from 4 years old on. He worked his butt off to provide for us, and he only missed one game in my whole sports career (I played literally every sport in high school). I told him I loved him all the time and I would tell him on occasion that I appreciated him, but when he passed away in 2009, I realized I had never really described to him how much I appreciated his sacrifice and support . He used to always tell me that I wouldn't know how much he loved me until I had a child of my own. Man was he right. My 3-year-old will probably want a restraining order against me one day!

Sorry in advance for this, but VOLatil's posts inspired it.

If you are fortunate and live long enough your kids will start having kids and you will get to see their accomplishments. Your mind might go back to your kids' big events, then move to the grandkids' big events and you might look toward heaven and tell the Lord how much you appreciate the undeserved favor of being able to see it all - like I have. Then you might think how the Lord feels about this times billions and realize just how important love is to all of this.

Even if you do have blue hair. lol.

I never lost to Riverdale in my 4 years.

I want the Warriors to win so bad.

He is making millions of dollars. This wasn't charity. Lol. 😜

But I get what you're saying. There are easier paths to the playoffs. I think he was genuinely in shock with our pageantry when he brought his Bearcats to Knoxville those few year ago.

And he longed to lead a people that would pour their heart and tears into a program just as he would do for them. And he has. God bless, Butch.

Plus your biggest rival is #1 in the playoff poll and their QB is just a SO. South Carolina will be really bad next year without Cooper, Shell, Wilds, and Moore.

Maybe it's just the circle of people that I talk with, but South Carolina fans have been by far the most cocky these last few years. Amazing for a team with no history. I have kept my peace, but it's time to do more than just get a one score victory. It's time to let them know how it really is, and restore order in the SEC East

I bet they can't even read the handwriting on the wall. They probably think they are on the cusp of rising again and don't realize that their historic run is over and won't be coming back

Watched the Tennessee vs Kentucky offensive snaps over again( Thanks Freak for the YouTube Vid :)) and I wouldn't be surprised if Kelly and Young ended up being better pure RBs than Kamara at the least. They are very very natural at RB. Young is a player I want to see with more time. And Kelly needs some carries. He's a problem for defenses.

USCe has developed a pattern of hiring old coaches who have only a few years left in their coaching years. They appear to think that coaches like Holtz and SOS will be able to be productive well into their seventies. They spend a lot of money and get a couple of good years out of these once good coaches who fizzle out. I am glad that Tennessee hires coaches who can produce for at least 10 - 15 years.
