Am told lots of friction inside #UGA stemming from old guard staff vs new guard regarding many of the changes in how Dawgs program is run.

Basically, Pruitt wants to run the program his way, Richt wants to do it his way

Why do we have to constantly compare our program to Florida to try to measure up? We're on our own journey. It's not going to look the same because we're coming from a different place. Who cares what they're doing?

We're getting better game by game. We have a great chance to be even more improved next year. Recruiting is going well. Stop looking back with regret. There are good times to be had right now. We've got a really fun team to watch. I wouldn't trade them for anybody.

The biggest reason is because that is now our top competition in the east

I don't know how else to interpret. It screams "I need more time". Maybe I am just looking into it too much but Butch is saying 2019 or 2020 is when our time is? LOL gtfo.
2016 is the year we need a 9 or 10+ season or he will NEVER get it done. we have 17 out of 22 upperclassmen starting next year. If he says some crap about being young again next year I will go off.

This is how to interpret it.

1. Define championship caliber program.

To me that means:

High quality upper classmen leading the team.
High quality players at least 3 deep in your roster
The majority of your freshmen red shirting and developing
Reduction of injuries due to proper physical training and development
Injuries don't kill a season
All program elements functioning routinely (i.e. recruiting cycles, coaching clinics, camps, Off season conditioning, Spring training, Fall Camp etc)
Routinely in the top 10 in recruiting
Routinely ranked in the top 10

I am with you. I sadly thought Mac was a great hire for them

I listened to CJM on Sirius this morning, and I hate to admit, but he's a very likable guy, unlike the last two ass clowns UF had. (flame suit on)
I still hope they lose every game they play tho!!

I mean gah we were finishing behind Missouri, Georgia, Florida and South Carolina regularly in the East. Some years we were behind Vandy and Kentucky at times.

Can we not see the steps being taken towards the top? The best players in the East are now mostly gathering in Knoxville. We are about to pummel most of those teams down the stretch this year.

We are better.... Again. I'm enjoying the methodical rise back to college football powerhouse. We're getting there.

Ask Auburn if early coaching success means much to the long term. Chiziks second year they won the title. Look what happened. Malzhans first year they played for the title. Look where they are now. Any coach can catch lightning in a bottle for one season.

Build a program, not just a single football team.

Going thru and liking several Bruin posts. Totally agree that Pruitt is a classjerk and Jason and VN was right to hit up Pruitt's fiancee.

@MarkRicht: Just so everyone knows, Jeremy Pruitt is our defensive coordinator and is in the office working diligently getting ready for Kentucky!

We were an Arkansas win away from having an almost identical season to 2007, minus the SECCG appearance.

Also, I've brought up Alabama's 2008 12-0 regular season a few times to compare it to Butch's rebuilding process, but wow. What an easy schedule they had.

#9 Clemson that turned out to be a 7-6 team.
Tulane
WKU
5-7 Arkansas team
#3 Georgia team that Georgia'd the game away
7-6 Kentucky team
8-4 Ole Miss team
5-7 Tennessee team
Arkansas State
8-5 LSU team
4-8 Mississippi State team
5-7 Auburn team

What a joke!

Things couldn't have lined up better for Saban that year. Go 12-0 regular season with your only truly challenging game coming against a Mark Richt-led UGA team and ride the momentum wave of pummeling a bunch of nobodies into a second consecutive top ranked recruiting class.

People are gonna ride this November of Nobodies.

From a perception standpoint, it doesn't seem to matter who you play. It's all about the W/L record.

Nobody cared that our schedule was brutally, brutally difficult in 2013 and that we drew SEC Champs/national championship game-contending Auburn and a Marcus Mariota led Oregon in addition to ranked UGA, ranked UF (pre-injuries), eventual #4 USC, #1 Alabama, one of the best Mizzou teams in recent history, and even an eventual 9-4 and ranked Vandy squad.

Likewise, I don't think many people are going to care that we pummeled a bad Kentucky team, a terrible South Carolina team, a terrible Missouri team, and a terrible Vandy team to go 8-4. To me, that's just karma leveling out for the horrible draws we've had in recent years.

At this point I have to hope that Texas A&M is somehow a dumpster fire when we play them next year, although they will most likely be the best team in the West and Arkansas/Ole Miss/Auburn will be terrible as soon as they are off our schedule.

Arky is pretty bad.

You really think KMack class will have a bad year in 2017 when they are juniors???? We'll be extremely strong on the offensive and defensive lines. Playmakers will be everywhere and the Senior class will be loaded as well. Plus the 2016 class with a year of experience and a few impact 2017 players. Down year really?

New QB and new RB

Despite previous reports, I can confirm that Jeremy Pruitt has been let go & has been banned from the UGA athletic department.
