Riddle me this:
How many traditionally top programs have seen a successful or legendary coach go, and then hit a homerun on the next hire?
Let's set the mark at around 8 wins per season. Timeframe, around the last 20 years
Nebraska lost Osborne, hired a solid Solich, fired him way too prematurely, and has floundered.
FSU seems to have gotten it right from Bowden to Fisher
Florida had Spurrier, then Zook... finally got Urban
Tennessee... nuff said
Bama had a run of failures till Saban
OSU post-Tressell... did they fire the next guy before Urban, or was he just a short-term interim?
Michigan - Carr to Rich Rod to Hoke to Harbaugh.
Oregon - Kelly, and the jury is still out right now on Helfrich
Texas - Mack Brown and the jury is still out on Strong.
Who else do you have here?
No. But I've read some in here talk him up as a pro prospect and claim he's a better passer than Dobbs.
There is only 1 QB right now in the SEC better than Dobbs. And he's a redshirt senior. That's why I don't get all the criticism on here. Dobbs ain't perfect but he's better than nearly everyone else.

Perhaps the best case scenario is for Richt to retain his job, although under heavy pressure. Recruits won't like the uncertainty, creating an opportunistic recruiting scenario for Butch over the next season.
Richt finally retires/steps down next year, destroying their 17' recruiting class. Butch reluctantly takes all the prize recruits from GA, knowing that he has his hands full with prized recruits in TN for that season.
TN is now firmly entrenched as a national power, with a strong recruiting presence in GA, and UGA is trying to rebuild, while fighting this new power in the East.

Please name a QB in the SEC other than Dak that's better than Dobbs?
That's all I'm saying. We have the 2nd best QB in the conference. And he'll be back next year.
Be thankful we have Dobbs rather than pining for someone else.
Sorry boss, I've blocked out the time to do it now. Look for it in the next 30 minutes. :hi:
