It's been over seven weeks since Maggitt was hurt. The original timeline given by Jones was 6-10 weeks. Anybody heard anything?

As I asked the question, I found this article posted today. Looks like we'll have an update soon:

Tennessee pass rush finally adapting to Maggitt's absence - GoVolsXtra Story

"Tennessee coach Butch Jones said Maggitt will undergo an MRI later this week that could help the Vols determine when or if the fifth-year-senior might return this season."

I think you are right. I will go:

1. LSU
2. Clemson
3. Michigan State
4. Iowa
5. Ohio State
6. Florida
7. Alabama
8. Stanford
9. Utah
10. Memphis

If you really look at the schedules of TCU, Baylor and Oklahoma State, they have literally played NO ONE so far.
I think Iowa will be way down there they haven't beat anyone yet.

I think UT is better honestly. You take out Chubb and UGA does nothing. Hurd, Kamara, even Kelly look to be great RBS.

I agree. UGA will have a FR QB, if he even ends up there with the talk of Richt being pushed out the door. A RB coming off of major knee surgery and Sony Michel. We will have a better QB and better RB's. Hurd will be better than Chubb next year. Kamara> Michel, Kelly> Douglas.

Just an FYI if you want to get some VOLS gear, Lids is having a flash sale for 40% off of their entire site from 11am-2pm EST. Use the code: FLASH

:hi:

Edit: has to be $50 or more

I figured that email might have been from you. But I didn't even open it to be safe. Just got rid of it. Haha.

Iowa... Number 4... When discussing SOS as a determinant...

Iowa had played a schedule only slightly stronger than Baylor to this point and they have barely scraped through their wins-- the best two teams being a very meh Wisconsin and Pitt. Iowa has no business being discussed as a top ten team.

I had Iowa way down the list until I started looking at other schedules. Their best 4 wins are @Northwestern, @Wisconsin and vs Pitt and @Iowa State.

Consider the other below them on my list:

Ohio State: @VT, vsPenn State, @Indiana, vs Northern Illinois

Florida: loss @LSU, vsOle Miss, vsTennessee, vsUGA

Alabama: loss vsOle Miss, @Texas A&M, vsArkansas, vsTennessee

Stanford: loss @Northwestern, @USC, @Wash State, vsUCLA

and also consider how bad Baylor, TCU and Okie State's best four games are:

Baylor: vsIowa State, vsTexas Tech, vsWVU, @SMU

TCU: vsTexas, vsTexas Tech, @Minnesota, vsWVU

Okie State: @Texas, @Texas Tech, @WVU, vsKansas State

Memphis has a better resume than all the BigXII schools, imo:

Memphis: vsOle Miss, vsCincinnati, @Bowling Green, @South Florida

If Bama and Ole Miss and Florida all win out and Ole Miss beats Florida. Pandemonium insues. Bama gets in with one loss. Then you've got an SEC champ with two losses who lost to undefeated Memphis who will have a case. Popcorn city

It was actually completely harmless this time, it read:

Subject:
"Sideways pic because you might as well be Volatil" -This was the title because I screwed up and originally thought you were Volatil. Major faux pas.-

Body:
"Put me in coach" -with this pic-

Why is it surprising to anybody that John Kelly is a really good..heck he may even turn out to be great..RB? Just seems curious to me.

My personal opinion of him was that he was a solid back, worthy of a high 3 star ranking in high school. What has surprised me so far has been his initial burst and quickness, which I did not see on his high school film. Some kids react differently to speed/explosion training, and I really think Kelly is one of those that has definitely picked up a step.

I've always been high on Kelly. IMO he showed good-not-great speed, and I think that's still true. He always had good vision, quickness and tremendous balance that allowed him to find space and break weak tackles. He doesn't have the power that Kamara has (yet), but otherwise he really does look similar in many ways.

He has a lil shady wiggle to him

Kamara is silky smooth at the line. Rarely seen that kind of explosive poise. He's fun to watch.
