As much as I would like to see this happen, I can't help but think Pharaoh Cooper will get behind us at some point for one long TD....that boy good.

Last few games we have been keeping a safety deep to prevent any big passing plays. Plus, Sutton followed Ridley and Baker all over the field the last 2 weeks. I think we will see the same this week. Cam will contain him.

The defensive scheme run against Bama with the safeties DEEP might work well to contain cooper.

Also have to consider that Thompson isn't throwing the ball this year. Their QB play is pretty rough.

As long as we can avoid cooper 1 on 1 with a linebacker, McNeil, or Foreman, I think we keep him contained.

USC has the worst run defense in the SEC. I really hope we give Kamara more carries this week. He seemed to have fresher legs than Hurd last week.

We gave Hurd 18 carries and Kamara 4 last week. Assuming we have roughly the same number of runs this week, I'd like to see a 10-12 or 11-11 split this week. I think if we gave Kamara 15 runs, he might break 2-3 long ones off against USC.

I think Kentucky sold out to stop Hurd last week. After rewatching the game, it looked like they knew we were running Hurd on first down and had like 5 or 6 guys pursuing him the second the ball was snapped. Hurd was not helped any by our offensive line play. By the second half, though, Hurd was back to breaking off bigger runs and all seemed right with the world.

I would love Hurd to have a 200+ yard game sometime in these last four games. He deserves it. He plays so hard, and our OL does not help him much.

They've helped him some this year. Teams are selling out to stop our running game. Why do you think the WRs are getting one on one matchups outside? Either bring a safety down or get gutted by the running game. After Dobbs went deep the running game magically started working.

My guess for what the committee will do - They really look at big wins and teams like Baylor and Ohio State don't have many right now. I think it will be pretty shocking.

1. LSU
2. Michigan State
3. Clemson
4. Florida
5. Ohio State
6. Alabama
7. TCU
8. Baylor
9. Oklahoma
10. Stanford

I agree with what you said. I think Hurd does deserve it, but first thing first we need to worry about winning games.

And anybody who has watched us play this year has noticed that we hand the ball of my a LOT less when Kamara is in the backfield than when Hurd is. I think bucking that trend could be really effective for us this week and maybe help us break off some chunk plays.

We're gonna need all the gas Hurd has left in his tank to beat Mizzou and Vandy (both good run defenses), so I think lightening his load the next two weeks could be big for us. We have two surprisingly good freshmen backups, USC is a bad run defense, and Kamara has earned more carries than he's received.

Let's have Kamara tote the rock 10-15 times this week and see how it goes.

Eric (or anyone) -

Don't know if you have tickets yet. But it turns out neither my dad, my brother, nor I are gonna be able to go this weekend.

We have 4 tickets in Y6 lower bowl, rows 13 and 14. Corner of end zone on side opposite of jumbotron, side where they run out of the T (see my avatar pic). It's above where the recruits sit. So if you have a good mental image of them you could walk down and yell a Go Vols or something at them. Ha

Anyways, dad wants to get face. Let me know if interested

2013 SC was absolutely a bigger win than 2015 UGA. That team finished #4 in the country. I don't care that it "wasn't one of our major rivals". That was a huge win and is Butch's best in his time here.

I'm not knocking the win over UGA this year, either. That was a win over a ranked rival and was very important to get momentum back on our side after a rough, frustrating start. But beating SC in 2013 was bigtime and may have kept that team out of the championship game.

This year, I'm expecting the game against SC to be similar to the one against Kentucky. Talent mismatch. We need to have a better game against the run... Wilds isn't as good as Henry, Collins, Michel but he's still respectable. They have a couple of nice receivers (particularly Cooper) but nobody to get them the ball downfield. Offensively, they can't stop us... we should score 40+.

I think you are right. I will go:

1. LSU
2. Clemson
3. Michigan State
4. Iowa
5. Ohio State
6. Florida
7. Alabama
8. Stanford
9. Utah
10. Memphis

If you really look at the schedules of TCU, Baylor and Oklahoma State, they have literally played NO ONE so far.

Ok I've got a side email address that i use for public forums like this ha. Let me try to remember what it is. And I'll post it in a bit. Check back.

Iowa... Number 4... When discussing SOS as a determinant...

Iowa had played a schedule only slightly stronger than Baylor to this point and they have barely scraped through their wins-- the best two teams being a very meh Wisconsin and Pitt. Iowa has no business being discussed as a top ten team.

It's been over seven weeks since Maggitt was hurt. The original timeline given by Jones was 6-10 weeks. Anybody heard anything?
