N. Texas game at noon on SECN.

Depending on weather forecasts I may drive up and make this my daughters first ever game.

She just turned 3 and is so into Tennessee football this fall.

She had a fairy costume and a witch costume bought by us and the grandparents for her costumes on Saturday, but she demanded to be in her TN cheerleading outfit instead.

Gave me chills and I think it is the perfect time fully turn that blood orange with her first game.

What do you all think!?!?

That is a joke i was sure the play would get over turned, that was just a good hard hit no way you throw a flag on that, if you are going to call that you mighty well play flag football or just 2 hand touch football they are destroying this great game, i am all for safety but that was a joke of a call now he has to sit out, just not right, in 20 year's you won't be able to hit you will be just allowed to push a player down nearly that way now, they need to look at that hit and suspend the ref that made the call in replay, this is a joke.:eek:lol:

I have no problem throwing the flag. These plays happen in milliseconds so I can't blame a ref in real time missing it. But to see it on replay and still not fix it? WHAT THE FUDGE

Do it!

I'm taking my son to his first Tennessee game, and his first game in Neyland. I'm stoked!

We are four plays away from being #1 in the country, honestly.

I know that's a bit pie in the sky that we'd have won all 4 games, but it's true.

I agree and for the longest I was really upset about it. I got over it by being realistic about our coaching staff and depth issues on the roster. The coaching staff is having to grow into elite status as well as the roster. I kept expecting them to already be that way with the elite way they recruit.

All systems go for 2016 and beyond, especially if they go on the run to finish the season.

So no info worth posting from CBJ's presser? We came out of UK game relatively healthy?

IF we win the last 4 games by an average of 21pts+ do you all think we will be ranked before the bowl at 8-4? I certainly think we will.

If we win the bowl we 100% will be, just trying to decide if it will take till after a possible bowl win or not.

Really would like to finish the season ranked for the first time since 2007.

I believe we got 2 votes in the ap poll so it's possible

Here's how its going to happen:

We win the rest of our regular season games.

We win our bowl game against a decent opponent and finish 9-4.

In January, our fans will be calling for 10-2 with some fringe people saying "We have an outside shot at the national title." "We will win the east." "No excuse not to win the East." etc etc etc

Signing day we have a top 10-12 class, momentum builds.

Around late July/early August, some national pundits will pick us to win the East, some will even pick us to win the SEC. A couple pundits will call us "darkhorse playoff contenders."

In August, much of our fanbase says 11-1/12-0 is realistic. Some hold out for 10-2/9-3. The entire fanbase expects to being playing in the SECCG.

September hits and it's a dang pressure cooker before a game is even played.

Book it.

I wonder if the number of coaching jobs open will have an affect on UGA's decision making? Is it better to open the job in a chaotic environment or wait until you're the undisputed best job open?

Good point. If they continue to lose, I don't think the AD has a choice.

I read something earlier that reminded me that Georgia was actually favored over Bama at home earlier this year when they played. Totally forgot about that.

That's seems insane in hindsight.

I think the reason it feels so dreadful to them is because of the expectations they had for themselves this season. The line in that Bama game is a great example of how the country looked at them. Also at the time we played we were kind of looked at as the choke artists of the SEC.

I think our fans can easily see we're more than that at this point. But nationally, they're going to have to see some consistent winning for awhile before teams get any credit for losing close games to us. This year that's still seen as an upset.

That changes in 2016 though.

Yep, it's similar to our situation-- people thought UGA was a better team than they've turned out to be. Injuries, youthful mistakes and some coaching mishaps have cost both UGA and UT. But just as we were overvalued at the beginning of the season, we became undervalued after our close late-game losses. We were always capable of giving UGA a game and capitalizing on opportunities for the win. We've done it for the past two years with much worse teams.

You're right about the expectations... but losing to us isn't nearly the negative that UGA fans are making it out to be. Richt wasn't responsible for the UT loss... though he owns that risky Faton Bauta decision. The reality is, UGA fans want to get rid of Richt and have for several years. They want Kirby Smart-- who could turn out to be either a McElwaine... or a Muschamp. Or worst of all, a Dooley.

Practice reports are going to be unbelievable next August.

Imagine what Hubbs/Fort will be saying about the team. Senior Dobbs. Juniors Hurd and Kamara. OL with no question marks (if Richmond is ready). DL that is absolutely stacked with junior Barnett, senior Vereen, sophomore Phillips, KMack and Tuttle. WRs stacked with a healthy North and Croom back alongside a rising Malone and Williams. Special teams still elite. Jennings possibly moving to safety alongside TK Jr. Martin taking over the lockdown corner spot left by Sutton.

The national championship buzz will be real, and it won't just be coming from those outside the program this time.

I just don't see Georgia keeping Richt. The blowout loss to Bama at home and back to back losses to Florida sealed it. Georgia was picked to be first in the East and will finish 3rd or 4th.

Even if they wanted to, he's losing control of the narrative. At some point, your hand is forced regardless of whether you think he technically has the ability to turn it around. Recruits start to balk, half the team quits on you because of the negativity, etc.

Kentucky has a real shot to beat them IMO. They are ripe for a major upset.

The SEC is a pressure cooker. That's just the way it is. Good teams expect to compete for championships. That's why those Top 10 classes come to programs that expect to win. We want to foster high expectations, because that's what breeds success.

And, yes, I expect UT to beat UF, win the SECE next year and play in the SECCG.

This North situation is confusing.

Anyone think he has just decided to rest up and get ready for the draft knowing he's had so much trouble staying healthy and will just test his luck while he can?

Not saying that is the smart thing to do, just wonder if anyone else gets a vibe that could be happening?

I agree, but you make it sound like there is something wrong with that. Pressure just goes with the territory when you have high expectations. Some of it was definitely unwarranted this year in the preseason, but next year I don't see it as a bad thing.

I'd be all over it. My first game was Akron back in the 80s and it worked out perfect. We had to bail at halftime but my Dad missed nothing.

She'll go bananas.

Way to be a good Dad!

I believe Georgia waits one more season to pull the trigger. "Let Eason come in," says Richt. "You'll see the improvement."

Then, when they don't win the East next year, with a less crowded coach search market, they attempt to land a big fish. (Chip Kelly? They'll swing and miss)

I don't think they push Richt out to bring in Kirby Smart who has never been a HC at any level. Smart will go to VT or SCe.

If I'm the AD, I wait one or two more seasons, but I'm biased because our bad luck after pushing Phillip out.

That's how pretty much every top team in the SEC enters every season.

Good to be back.

That's homecoming, isn't it? That is a great time to take kids to their first game.
