The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

Vanderbilt's two quarterbacks were equally inept tonight. They completed 5-20 passes for 44 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions. If it is possible to achieve a negative passing efficiency rating, they both earned it.

Vandy's forum is absolutely hilarious.

They are damn lucky once again that they won't be 1-11 at the end of this season. They squeaked by Charleston Southern and UMass last year and they squeaked by Mizzou and MTSU this year.

I hope Kentucky does. It depends on if they can get past what happened tonight.

Kentucky got smacked by a team that does this to them on a regular basis. No coping mechanism for Vandy getting shut out by an AAC team...admittedly a ranked one, but not even competing?

How is Vandy going to beat UK when they couldn't even score a point against Houston?

Well for one, Houston would also beat UK pretty easily IMO.

Secondly, UK's defense is garbage. I know VU's offense is garbage too, but UK has the worst defense in the SEC that I've seen. UK's offense will struggle against VU's defense and Towles is one of the most over hyped QBs I've seen in a good while.

Add in UK's gotten their ass kicked 2 games in a row and will likely go into the VU game on a 4 game losing streak and they can easily leave Nashville with another L.

...and there is a very good chance that Vandy will be coming off of 2 straight shutouts. It could be close but Kentucky should win. It really depends on how much fight Kentucky has left. They have an easy path (Charlotte) to bowl eligibility but they must beat either Vandy or Louisville as well.

Those bastards. They still consider themselves SEC worthy.
Hang up the cleats for this season. Embarrassing performance for an SEC team this year. Even our best player, Openshaw, didn't play well. Need a reboot.

It will be ugly and a weird game of busted assignments and freak plays, but I think Vandy out bads UK and the Cats come away with a win.

Houston would beat a lot of teams handily so I'm not sure that should make any difference. But UK can/should easily take Vandy to school. They aren't as horrid as you think they are.

Their best win is over Missouri, which happens to be Vandy's best win. They had to have OT to beat Eastern KY (and had to rally to even get OT).

I just don't see the "easily" part at all. I don't think UK is really improved that much if at all from last year and Vandy is maybe slightly, and UK struggled with Vandy last year.

And beat USCe, lost a close one to Auburn, got the brakes beat off them by MSU...

With the way UGA has fallen off a cliff, I wouldn't discount a heated battle at Sanford on Saturday. UK has shown some signs of life this year and Stoops has done some good recruiting, especially by Kentucky standards. They has two wins as a minimum left on their schedule.

Ky might've lost Williams for the rest of the season. That's a big blow to their offense. The Ky-Vandy game will come down to turnovers. Ky's D is bad and Vandy's offense is horrid. Vandy's D will shut them down but if Vandy's O turns the ball over like they did last night then Ky will win. Also, Vandy's freshman QB went out with what people are saying was a concussion. He might not be available and McCrary will screw up enough to give Ky a short field.

So what you're saying is that both teams will lose?

Got it. Not even shocked.
