Still mad over that call on Moseley last night.

Aside from hitting him square in the chest like he did, the only other way of hitting him would have been to go after his knees.

The SEC is literally saying, with that call, that we'd rather you make the dirty play, take out a guys ACL and end his season than to hit him in the chest.

That's bull****.

Everyone is really lucky that call happened during a blowout and not when it could have mattered.

Great game, a few thoughts:

- it wasn't always pretty, and at times was sloppy, but we proved last night how far we have come from a talent standpoint over the last three years.
- Corey Vereen is in Animal mode.
- No doubt we could have put up 70. The foot came off the gas early.
- If you had told me at the beginning of the season that Dobbs would survive the first 8 games completely unscathed (knocks on wood) I would have laughed at you. Speaks volumes about his toughness, preparation, and Staff's ability to both utilize and protect him. Hats off.
- Darrin Kirkland has Frosh All-American potential if he thrives over the next 4 week. So does Chance Hall.
- wouldnt be surprised in UK beats UGA. The Dawgs are a dumpster fire.
- Vols should put up similar numbers on South Carolina next week. My early prediction is 48-17 Vols.

Great point with Vereen! It took some time but he's primed to be a Maggitt type factor for us.

Very pleased with the team's "resiliency," to borrow a Butch-ism, after some mistakes and bad breaks early on last night. I know it's been said ad nauseum, but this isn't Dooley's bunch any more -- this team fights and fights hard in every game, which is just a delight to see.

I'm overjoyed for Aaron Medley. He kicked that 44 yard field goal very well and I'm sure it was huge for his confidence. I'm hoping none of our remaining games will be decided by field goals regardless, but good for him getting right.

On to South Carolina. The Gamecocks played very very well against TAMU, so I could see a game that is close. Our talent really should win out; Kentucky was a tougher team than South Carolina, and we took it to the Wildcats in Lexington where they have been better than on the road. Hope for another good, complete effort on Saturday. I'd absolutely love it if we came out on fire and avoided a slowish start like we had against Kentucky.

Good post. I still worry about Brandon "Running" Wilds on us again. If Kirkland and Maybin keep him under 100 yards we should be in bidness.

It's been like having Curt back.

That's a great way to put it. And all of a sudden the real Barnett showed up. Maybe coincidence who knows. I don't know how often they have a TE or RB chip on 9 at the start of the year.

Really though, everybody in the front 7 is playing with great instincts and speed. Foreman has been the weak link (see most passing TDs) but I absolutely don't mean to knock him he's playing his best and a great team player.

8. Tennessee will win out this year and be a top ten team next year.
Kentucky football fans are cute. They're all fired up about Mark Stoops and this is the second straight year that Butch Jones has hung fifty on them. Honestly, the past two UT-UK games have looked just like the 1990's when Tennessee was rolling and Kentucky sucked. The talent differential on the field is seismic.
This may well be the beginning of a dominant end of season run for Jones's Vols that sets the table for incredibly high expectations in 206, when the Vols should enter the season ranked in the top ten.
Interestingly, just about every football analytics table has the Vols as a top ten team this year. (USC is typically top five in these same analytics tables, making the Volunteers and the Trojans the two teams with the most differential between poll ranking and Vegas expectations in the country. There are probably five or six teams in the country that would be favored over USC on a neutral site, somewhere around ten teams that would be favored over the Vols on a neutral site.)

Does anyone know why Pat Ryan was doing color on the radio broadcast last night and not Tim Priest?

Can't overstate how impressed I was with the coaching last night and week

Giving up the TD to open the game and being down 14-10 right before half it looked very much like a letdown type game was going 4QTs yet the team clearly played like a team that is starting to learn what empsoing it's will on opponents is all about.

Just seems to me that Dobbs has a "calming" effect on this team and also like Jones is heading much more in that direction to me as well.

Hell of a job and to me this past week erased my criticism of not going for 2 and the misclock management at florida

According to ESPN's FPI, we have an 89.6% chance of beating USC, 99.6% chance of beating NT, 77.9% chance of beating Mizzou, and 91.1% chance of beating Vandy.

With those numbers that is a 63.3% probability that we win out. Mizzou is the only test left...if anyone wants to call anything left a test. Their O will throw Int's, IMO. Just like UGA yesterday. I call for multiple Int's from the Mizzou O with our D. We will unleash 4 years of frustration on them this year.
