How with how they were tackling Barnett in the first half?!

Do you feel like #12 & #13 and Abernathy are going to be ready to cover at a SEC Championship level with another year of seasoning? I'm only worried about our coverage going forward. I think we're fine upfront. A lot of times it seems our guys are in the vicinity of the play, but they can't seem to make the play. I like Jancek's scheme overall (do you?) but sometimes we just don't appear to execute it correctly. I was just wondering what you thought about our young cover guys and how you see it going forward.

In the past, I have seriously thought about writing a letter to the SEC office about its officiating product. I am an attorney, so sometimes I think about such things.

I was in the process of getting home and putting kids to bed, so I missed the Moseley call. But this isn't the first bad call and won't be the last. It has been building for a while, and I have said for several years that it is a shame the most powerful conference in the country can't find competent officiating.
I agree 100%.The SEC had record profits last year.Surely we can afford some decent officials. It's embarrassing to have huge stadiums, great fans, players, coaches ect. Then have middle school officials calling games. What opposing teams have been allowed to get away with vs.Barnett is so atrocious its almost comical.

We may have three special teams All-Americans this year.

Evan Berry is #1 in kickoff returns by a wide margin. Averages 42.6 yards per return and has 3 TDs. The next guy averages 34.3 yards per return and has 2 TDs.

Cam Sutton is #3 in punt returns with 20.2 yards per return and 1 TD. The #1 guy has 22.7 yards per return and the #2 guy has 20.7 yards per return.

Finally, Trevor Daniel is #5 in punting average with 46.5 yards per punt. The #1 guy has 49 yards per punt, so he's got some distance to make up.

I was about to agree, scrap it. But there are alot of miss calls overturned every week that would stand without review. Its not a perfect system but it corrects more than it misses IMO.

That's true. Maybe we should hire more competent or less shady officials. There is zero reason for not reversing that call. It was so egregious that there should be some penalty levied against the replay official.

That's bonkers. If you can't kick it through the end zone you'll save about 7-15 yards on average kicking it out of bounds and taking a penalty.

Really hoping this team wins out and gets Michigan in a bowl game. Would be nice to kick harbaughs a$$ and show everybody michigan is overrated along with the big ten.

I would love a bowl game rematch with Iowa. If they go undefeated regular season, then lose the division championship, they won't sniff the playoffs. It would be a huge statement game to have them replay UT. I think we'd roll them-- just like last year. UT would be Top 10 with their schedule.

Great game, a few thoughts:

- it wasn't always pretty, and at times was sloppy, but we proved last night how far we have come from a talent standpoint over the last three years.
- Corey Vereen is in Animal mode.
- No doubt we could have put up 70. The foot came off the gas early.
- If you had told me at the beginning of the season that Dobbs would survive the first 8 games completely unscathed (knocks on wood) I would have laughed at you. Speaks volumes about his toughness, preparation, and Staff's ability to both utilize and protect him. Hats off.
- Darrin Kirkland has Frosh All-American potential if he thrives over the next 4 week. So does Chance Hall.
- wouldnt be surprised in UK beats UGA. The Dawgs are a dumpster fire.
- Vols should put up similar numbers on South Carolina next week. My early prediction is 48-17 Vols.

If I would've told you that we'd lose Curt Maggitt, Gaulden, two offensive linemen for the year, Croom and Pig Howard for the year, M. North a non factor due to injury and Shy Tuttle in game 6. Also Medley kicking 50%.

What would your record prediction be?

I would've said 6-6.
